The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks a dynamic, high-caliber and experienced professional to join our Exhibition and Digital Business Department.

Reporting to the Section Head, Business Development, the job-holder is to act as the project manager of assigned projects.

Major Responsibilities:

  • To plan and execute the exhibitor recruitment plan in local and worldwide markets to achieve sales and revenue targets
  • To liaise with external and internal parties, including local and overseas trade/industry associations, other organisers and co-organisers, to develop and implement the projects
  • To coordinate with and to work closely with worldwide sales agents for exhibitor recruitment
  • To develop and maintain good relations with industry players to understand their needs and market trend as well as identify opportunities for promoting further business
  • To expand and upgrade the exhibition by recruiting quality exhibitors and promoting new and interesting products on exhibits
  • To conduct sales activities if necessary such as briefing sessions, sales trips, roadshows, etc.
  • To provide professional and good services to customers

Requirements:

  • A recognised university degree with at least 5 years’ solid working experience, preferably with sizeable organisations, in any of the following areas: sales and marketing; trading; exhibition/event organisation; project management; public/corporate relations; or network/relationship building etc.
  • Good understanding of Hong Kong’s economy, trade and business arena covering key industries and markets as well as opportunities and challenges of SMEs
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua; knowledge of a third language will be an advantage
  • A strong team player with excellent leadership, organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and detail-minded with good project management ability, able to work under pressure
  • Outgoing and be appreciate to work with people of different cultures
  • Innovative, flexible and be able to deliver under time and resource pressures
  • Willing to work on weekends or public holidays as necessary

Remuneration and Benefits:

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. A competitive remuneration and benefits package, including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be offered.

Requirements:

  • Capable to work as team to deliver quality work within tight timeframe and limited resources
  • Proficiency in MS applications and Chinese word-processing
  • Customer-oriented, good team spirit and able to work under pressure
  • Willing to work overtime and occasionally on during weekends / public holidays

Remuneration and Benefits:

The successful candidate will be appointed on a fixed-term contract basis, renewable subject to operational needs. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Section Head, Business Development and Events, the job-holder's main duties include:

  • To plan and execute marketing activities for fairs, including Gift & Premium Fair, Stationery Fair, International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products, Watch & Clock, and more. To bring benefits to exhibitors and buyers and keep them abreast of market development. The marketing activities include conferences, seminars, forums, workshops, webinars, opening ceremonies, luncheons, thematic cocktail receptions, gala dinner, product demonstration or launching sessions, entertainment performances and parades, etc ;
  • To take charge of overall project planning including events research and arrangement, preparation and execution, and to follow up with both internal and external parties including fair co-organisers and strategic partners, multipliers, speakers and vendors;
  • To identify good and useful seminar topics and invite representatives from Government, trade associations and companies to be speakers or guests of the fair events;
  • To promote marketing events using online marketing tools such as eDM, online event schedule, social media, etc.;
  • To draft speeches or talk notes for officiating guests attending the opening ceremonies or receptions; as well as MC scripts for events

Requirements:

  • A recognised university degree with at least 5 years' solid working experience, preferably with sizable organisations, in any of the following areas: sales and marketing; trading; exhibition/event organisation; project management; public/corporate relations; or network/relationship building etc.
  • Strong inclination and understanding of Hong Kong's economy, trade and business arena covering various Hong Kong industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong companies;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
  • A strong team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and outgoing with good project planning ability
  • Detail-minded and organised
  • Innovative, flexible and be able to deliver under time and resource pressure
  • Be prepared to work during weekends on need basis

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), the statutory organisation promoting Hong Kong’s external trade, seeks dynamic, high-caliber and experienced professionals to join our Exhibitions and Digital Business Department. To strengthen Hong Kong's role as Asia's international business platform, we organise more than 30 world-class international trade fairs in Hong Kong each year. These fairs, which cover various industries and sectors, create opportunities for companies to promote their products or services to buyers from all over the world.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Section Head, Business Development and Events, the job-holder's main duties include:

  • To plan and execute marketing activities for fairs, including Gift & Premium Fair, Stationery Fair, International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine & Health Products, Watch & Clock, and more. To bring benefits to exhibitors and buyers and keep them abreast of market development. The marketing activities include conferences, seminars, forums, workshops, webinars, opening ceremonies, luncheons, thematic cocktail receptions, gala dinner, product demonstration or launching sessions, entertainment performances and parades, etc ;
  • To take charge of overall project planning including events research and arrangement, preparation and execution, and to follow up with both internal and external parties including fair co-organisers and strategic partners, multipliers, speakers and vendors;
  • To identify good and useful seminar topics and invite representatives from Government, trade associations and companies to be speakers or guests of the fair events;
  • To promote marketing events using online marketing tools such as eDM, online event schedule, social media, etc.;
  • To draft speeches or talk notes for officiating guests attending the opening ceremonies or receptions; as well as MC scripts for events
Requirements:
  • A recognised university degree with at least 5 years' solid working experience, preferably with sizable organisations, in any of the following areas: sales and marketing; trading; exhibition/event organisation; project management; public/corporate relations; or network/relationship building etc.
  • Strong inclination and understanding of Hong Kong's economy, trade and business arena covering various Hong Kong industries, and markets and business opportunities for Hong Kong companies;
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua;
  • A strong team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and outgoing with good project planning ability
  • Detail-minded and organised
  • Innovative, flexible and be able to deliver under time and resource pressure
  • Be prepared to work during weekends on need basis
Remuneration and Benefits:
The successful candidate will be appointed on a fixed-term contract basis, renewable subject to operational needs. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    • Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential; knowledge of Chinese and Putonghua is beneficial.
