Position Summary
As BDx continues to grow, we are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead data center development projects across the APAC region. Reporting to the Head of Design & Construction, this role is part of the Central Design and Build team and will oversee end-to-end project lifecycle management—from planning and design through to construction, commissioning, and delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policies.
- Negotiate and supervise the preparation of all change orders on the project
- Maintain all logs required to track the progress of the project
- Maintain liaison with client and A/E to facilitate construction activities
- Monitor construction activities in conjunction with the onsite Project Manager and Area Superintendent to ensure project is being built on schedule and within budgets
- Investigate any potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures within company guidelines and under supervision
- Represent company/project in meetings with clients, subcontractors, etc.
- Create Project schedule (Microsoft Project), and prepare 3 weeks lookahead schedule and monthly schedule update
- Manage financial aspects of contracts (progress billing, rental equipment, income/expenses) to protect the company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with the client
- Develop high-quality project proposal and plan based on the business requirements and available project resources.
- Direct and coordinate activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within the prescribes budget of resources.
- Track ETA delivery of equipment and services from Telco/Data Centers, Public Cloud Providers and ICT Principles/Distributors.
- Provide regular reports on project progress for stakeholders and management and update schedules on plans when required.
- Serve as an escalation point for any service impacted incidents and help with ad-hoc requests to provide optimal user experience to BU.
- Communicate with stakeholders for vendor management, maintenance of documents and to report on project progress.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in managing data center projects, including both greenfield and brownfield developments.
- Familiarity with core data center design concepts; operational experience is a plus.
- Proven track record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects within time, scope, and budget.
- Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills, with a strategic and analytical mindset.
- Excellent documentation and reporting capabilities.
- Results-oriented with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Established relationships within the vendor, regulatory, and data center ecosystems.
- Proficient in spoken and written English and Chinese; regional language skills are a bonus.

- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in sizable infrastructure development or site coordination of building projects, with at least 12 years of post-qualification experience and at least 10 years at a managerial level
- Experience in developing and managing institutional projects (e.g., University, Hospital, R&D offices, Laboratory) is preferred
- Strong knowledge of government procedures and statutory compliance requirements will be advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua)
- Station in Lok Ma Chau Office is required (Shuttle bus service will be available)

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to support our custodial services. The ideal candidate will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, project and risk management, requirement gatherings, impact analysis and ensuring regulatory and operational requirements are met. The candidate will have a strong understanding of asset management business, fund and custodial operations and experience in managing sizable projects.
Position Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the end-to-end custodial project, ensuring it is delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and key milestones.
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings, workshops, and governance forums with internal teams and vendor.
- Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies, implementing mitigation plans as necessary.
- Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Oversee the gathering of the business requirements related to custodial operations, processes, reporting, and control.
- Assess the impact of the custodial change on existing processes, systems, and operational workflows.
- Oversee the validation of new business processes, ensuring alignment with regulatory and operational best practices.
- Work closely with IT teams and vendors to support system changes, integrations, and data migration activities.
- Oversee the development and execution of UAT (User Acceptance Testing) plans with proper documentation, ensuring smooth operational readiness.
- Lead data migration process and partner with IT to ensure the accuracy and completeness as well as conduct data reconciliation to verify successful data transfers.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Management:
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams (Front Office, Operations, Compliance, Technology, Product, Risk, Finance, Client Services, Platform Management, etc) and vendors.
- Ensure all regulatory and contractual requirements are met.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring SLAs, service standards, and operational requirements are met.
- Support the negotiation and finalization of custodial agreements.
- Regulatory & Compliance Oversight:
- Work closely with Compliance and Legal teams to ensure all due diligence and reporting requirements are fulfilled throughout the process
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field,
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Project Manager within asset management, investment management and financial service industry.
- Strong knowledge of investment operation, custodian & security services, fund structures, investor services, and regulatory requirements.
- Good understanding of various fund types, including Luxembourg Funds (UCITS), Cayman Island Funds, Pension Funds and Fund of Funds.
- Experience in managing large-scale operational migrations.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and regulators.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in process mapping and change management.
- Familiarity with custodial systems, investor servicing platforms, and data migration methodologies.
- Hands-on experience in business requirements gathering, UAT, and post-migration support.
- Strong Project Management skills, ideally with experience using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Fluent in English, and Cantonese preferred (not essential) with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
