JOB SUMMARY:
This is a rare opportunity to join a prominent organization as a Director/Senior Manager, Indirect Procurement. This role involves managing procurement operations and strategies, focusing on optimizing supply chain efficiencies. The ideal candidate will have extensive procurement experience, a strong background in supplier management, and a proven ability to drive performance and strategic initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the daily functions of the Purchasing team, ensuring effective workload management.
- Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations while suggesting improvements for efficiency.
- Support team development by addressing operational challenges and fostering a culture of growth.
- Establish and update procurement policies and procedures for various goods and services.
- Provide administrative support to relevant committees overseeing procurement activities.
- Generate reports and analyze data to assist in decision-making and planning.
- Lead efforts in adopting new technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Monitor industry trends and regulations to maintain effective and compliant procurement practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Have a minimum of eight years of substantial managerial experience in procurement, ideally in the public sector or large organizations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus.
- Experience managing a team and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and systems.
