The objective of the position is to facilitate vendor maintenance & development relationships between company and vendors. This position has a key role to deploy the strategy of vendor management team.

What you'll do

• Support deployment of sourcing & vendor management tactic in country offices.

• Support Country Sourcing development including optimization of process & system training, review and guidance.

• Provide on-going training to Country Sourcing for knowledge retention.

• Monitor related system performance & data quality of onboarded vendor profiles to ensure high quality data for performing analysis

• Prepare data analysis when required.

• Support preparation of sourcing related performance report driving vendor pool development.

• Consolidate market information related to sourcing/vendor management from countries

• Participate and support on IT projects deployments when required.

• Support new /ad hoc tasks & projects when required.

What you'll need

• The position requires an academic degree or diploma in purchasing/ business related discipline.

• With experiences of retail business operations, preferably in European organizations.

• Background and experience in Sourcing & Merchandising is a plus.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent proficiency in MS Excel.

• Strong organizational & problem-solving skills, work independently, self-motivated and detail oriented.

• A good team player and an individual contributor can work to deadlines, priorities tasks and work well under pressure.

• Good command of written & spoken English is a must and Mandarin skills is a bonus to communicate with Chinese vendors.

• Travel may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development and implementation of procurement and vendor management strategies and procedures
  • Conduct regular review on procurement and vendor management policy to ensure it is in compliance with company policies and audit requirements
  • Coordinate and collaborate with processing departments on vendor selection, new vendor registration, document preparation and regular vendor management review
  • Act as a key point of contact to resolve issues and drive collaboration
  • Provide support on vendor management related matters
  • Prepare regular MIS reports for management
  • Handle enquiries from processing departments and ad-hoc request related to vendor management
  • Review and ensure documents submitted by processing departments are adherence to policy requirements

Requirements

  • University degree holder or above in Business Administration or related disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant working experience, preferably in banking and finance industry
  • Extensive hands-on experience with the full Request for Quotation (RFQ) and vendor management processes
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication skills
  • Able to work under pressure and work independently
  • Good command in both spoken and written English and Chinese. Fluency in Mandarin will be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications and Chinese word processing

Your Role

Reporting to the Production Control Team Head, you’ll be part of a close-knit team of 5 professionals, driving operational efficiency and ensuring smooth production flow.

  • Manage procurement for mass production of released products
  • Issue monthly Production Requests to vendors and suppliers
  • Negotiate product costing with factories for ongoing and special deals
  • Oversee inventory disposal for both warehouse and factory production lines
  • Coordinate monthly parts production requests to ensure timely material delivery to OEM factories
  • Monitor and control recycled material usage
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to meet production goals

Ideal Candidate

  • F.5 graduated; Diploma is a plus
  • 3+ years of experience in production control, vendor management, or related fields
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel & Word
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • Strong command of Cantonese, Chinese, and English (spoken and written)
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

  • We are currently seeking a PURCHASING OFFICER - with the following details:

The Job

  • Report to: Purchasing Manager
  • Team collaboration: Team work in Purchasing team of six members
  • Supply Management: Arrange and administer an accurate, timely, and economical supply of vessel-related goods and services to specified ships to maintain optimal operating costs.
  • Procurement Process: Manage the purchasing process according to established procedures and policies, including proper documentation and solicitation of competitive quotations for goods and services from approved suppliers.
  • Delivery Monitoring: Monitor and handle the supply and delivery process of duly approved purchases to vessels.
  • Liaison: Liaise closely with Technical Superintendents to ensure efficient supply chain operations in line with vessel requirements.
  • Requisition Generation: Generate purchase requisitions and orders within the procurement system.
  • Reporting: Update and distribute supply status reports to vessels and superintendents on a monthly basis.
  • Education: Tertiary education in Logistics, Global Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is highly preferred but not mandatory.
  • Experience: 2+ years experience as a Purchaser/Technical Assistant in liner / shipping company / ship management.or equivalent
  • Skills: Relevant experience in ship supply operations, with a solid understanding of procurement practices and procedures. Proficient in written and spoken English, with strong communication skills.

Job Description

Oversee the end-to-end Supply Chain operations to ensure efficient, cost-effective production and distribution of goods, aligning with organizational goals for growth, sustainability, and customer satisfaction. This role is critical for optimizing global logistics, mitigating risks of customs and trade, and driving innovation in complex, multi-tiered supply chains.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects in coordination with different parties and subordinates to ensure the project timeline is achieved
  • Process improvement to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Formulate and implement the operation procedure to fulfil trade requirement
  • Establish KPIs for services providers and monitor service level and performance effectiveness
  • Proactively address supply chain disruptions and offer contingency planning
  • Frequent traveling to production plant in China, Vietnam or other countries to support the projects implementation
  • Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or other relevant discipline
  • Minimum 5 years’ solid logistics, order processing, inventory control and managerial experience gained from sizable manufacturing/trading companies
  • Good computer skills including Excel and Power Point
  • Experience in using Oracle system is preferable
  • Good communication, coordination and interpersonal skills
  • Good analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Work independently and multitasking
  • Good command of spoken and written English, Mandarin and Cantonese
  • Frequent travel to China, Vietnam and other countries is required
