About the role

We are seeking a part-time Quality Assurance Assistant to join our team at Select Service Partner Hong Kong Limited in the Airport Area Islands District. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and safety of our food products, contributing to the overall success of our operation.

Job Description:

• Assist the QA Manager in implementing and maintaining Quality Assurance systems.
• Conduct routine inspections of products, storage facilities, and processes to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Support documentation control (SOPs, HACCP plans, audit reports, COAs).
• Carry out hygiene and sanitation inspections, temperature monitoring, and supplier audits.
• Assist in internal audits and preparations for external certifications (ISO 22000, HACCP).
• Investigate customer complaints and non-conformities; recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to maintain QA Standard.

Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.
• Familiarity with ISO 22000 and HACCP principles is an advantage
• Candidates who can work minimum 2-3 days per week are preferred
• Candidates with a background in food science and relevant internship or project experience are preferred
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving ability.
• Responsible and detailed minded individual who can work under pressure and handle multiple tasks within tight deadlines.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese is essential).
• Proactive, eager to learn, and a good team player

A European-headquartered fashion accessory sourcing organisation, specialising in metal fashion accessories, looking to build an in-house QA capability.

Your new role

Working with a sourcing GM and multiple manufacturing suppliers, you will focus on developing Quality Assurance processes to ensure consistency of product for your high-end fashion clients. Your work will focus on a range of metal fashion accessories such as buckles, clasps, metal buttons etc. This role has previously been outsourced to a third-party provider; your role will be to create a new in-house function.

What you'll need to succeed

Ideally, you will have:

• 2-8 years experience in a Quality Assurance role
• Previous experience of working with metal consumer products, such as brass, metal plating, copper
• Strong communication skills and the ability to create strong working relationships with manufacturing suppliers and internal stakeholders in HK and Europe
• Ability to travel to Guangdong, China area to review suppliers

What Will You Be Doing

• Safeguard and maintain high-quality user experience by working closely with software development team to release features and fixes for app, web and other systems.

Responsibilities:

• Assures that all products, packaging, labeling and claims are in regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate and participate work safety, quality assurance and hygiene.
• Handle and follow up the complaint cases related to food regulation.
• Conduct routine food regulatory and labeling checking.
• Perform routine on-line and finished food products labeling check to implement ISO / HACCP policy.
• Prepare products' labels based on local regulatory requirements to ensure labeling for each country are regulatory compliance.

Requirement:

• Higher Diploma / Degree holder or above in Food Science / Food and Nutrition or related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 year experience and familiar with food regulatory will be an advantage.
• Self-motivated, independent, self-motivated, excellent problem solving skills, and with good communication skill.
• Good in organization and interpersonal skills with the ability to establish relationships both internally and externally.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy, working under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in PC applications including Chinese word and excel processing.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese / Cantonese.

Responsibilities:

• Implement food safety and quality standards in Raw Material and Supplier Quality Management System
• Conduct supplier risk assessment, on-site visit and regular audit for new supplier approval and supplier development, areas located in HK, mainland China or overseas
