We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to Join our Global Quality Assurance team in Hong Kong, reporting directly to the Director of Quality Assurance. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that our toy products comply with the legal and regulatory requirements across different markets. To achieve this, your functions will be the following:
Development QA
- Lead and mentor a team of Inspectors, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.
- Apply QC standards throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with the defined development process.
- Manage and maintain all QC-related documentation for products.
- Conduct risk assessments to identify potential safety or compliance issues
- Review/ approve samples/ artworks/ certificates/ quality related reports to ensure product is met with company quality standard and legal requirement before shipment
- Conduct product risk assessment and provide technical advice/ recommend appropriate modifications to factory if necessary
2. Manufacturing / Vendor QC
- Ensure vendors uphold company QA standards and requirements
- Oversee the onboarding process for new vendors, ensuring quality compliance
- Conduct manufacturing audits and inspections to verify adherence to quality protocols
- Assist with the management of the product testing program and coordinate testing requirements
- Maintain robust processes to protect the integrity of intellectual property
- Monitor production processes to identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
3. Compliance
- Ensure compliance with international toy safety standards and manage audits and inspections
- Develop QC standards based on regulatory requirements
- Work in close coordination with the Group QA team to align strategies, share best practices, and ensure global consistency in QC processes and standards
- Facilitate training and communication to ensure understanding of QC standards among internal teams and vendors
- Manage vendor audits to verify compliance with internal and external standards
- Ensure alignment with retailer-specific quality requirements

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in Quality Control or Assurance, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within the toy, consumer goods, or related manufacturing industry
- In-depth knowledge of global toy safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., EN71, ASTM F963, ISO 8124)
