Our client is a retailer with a buying office in Hong Kong, they are looking for a quality specialist for their Electrical Products team. This role will focus on quality control of electrical products categories. Due to business expansion, this position has been newly created. This person will report to the Quality manager.
Job Responsibilities
- Support to create sample testing protocol and review test results of related products
- Review testing results according to international and specific in-house standards
- Coordination of inspection, testing and audits preparation, quotation, booking as well as results and invoicing follow-up
- Preparation of QA related documentation
- Responsible for photography sampling, artwork briefing and review preparation
- Proactive communication and follow up with the internal departments, service providers and factories where necessary i.e. artwork approval
- Liaise with suppliers and external service providers as required and directed by the Manager/ Director of the business team in a professional, polite manner
- Become familiar with the products and responsibility areas within the supplier base of the business team, raising all communication and core business records as necessary
Requirements
- At least (Non-Degree) Tertiary education required.
- Minimum of 3 years' relevant working experience, preferably gained in third party testing lab, sourcing/buying offices, working with consumer electrical relater products.
- Hands-on experience with QA duties and testing standard of electrical related hardgoods is required and highly advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a good team player
- Good command of both verbal and written business English and fluency in Mandarin essential

Our client, a European buying office, is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to support their growing business. This role focuses on ensuring the quality of lighting products.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the product qualification process, collaborating with internal teams and external test laboratories to ensure lighting products, packaging, and instructional materials meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards for all target markets.
- Identify the proper control plan and lead the onsite assurance and manufacturing test during pilot and mass production.
- Conduct inspections of raw materials, semi-finished products, finished goods, packaging, and outbound shipments to verify quality standards.
- Manage third-party product inspection programs, including DUPRO, FRI, and manufacturing testing.
- Monitor and coaching QAT for the assigned task and daily operation.
- Participate in internal and external audits and training initiatives.
- Support additional ad-hoc projects as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within sourcing or buying offices, with a focus on electronics or lighting products.
- Strong technical knowledge of luminaire products (e.g., recessed downlights, battens, solar lights)
- Familiarity with European standards and directives, and expertise in manufacturing processes, QA, and QC systems.
- Good command of written and spoken English, Cantonese and Mandarin
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Mainland China.
