We are hiring a Site Reliability Engineering Manager aspiring for a world-class devops and gitops engineering management challenge, bringing together operations management, software engineering and product development, and team leadership in a single high-value role. You will need to be a Linux and operations expert, as well as a great manager capable of leading a high-performance team, to excel in this role.

The Information Systems team at Canonical runs services used by over 60 million Ubuntu users. Our mission is to pioneer and prove new and better approaches to large-scale IS. We support Canonical and Ubuntu operations, but we also help shape Canonical's managed application service offerings, raising the bar on devops and cloud-native operations. We take infra-as-code to the next level, blazing a trail to next-generation model-driven operations. We not only aim to automate every process that underpins our business, we also share that automation as open source packages which others use to drive their own operations. From Kubernetes to the kernel and everything in-between, you will be working with the latest technologies in a fast-paced engineering environment.

We have fully distributed, home-based teams in EMEA, APAC and the Americas. You will lead a team in your time zone, and report to a global director who may not be in your time zone.

Location : This role will be based remotely in the APAC region.

The role entails

  • Lead your team in daily agile devops practices
  • Represent the IS team to stakeholders, customers, and internal teams
  • Organize, coordinate and drive internal projects
  • Mentor engineers to improve their skills
  • Identify and measure team health indicators
  • Implement structured engineering and operations processes
  • Ensure proper team focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
  • Work to meet service level agreements with customer deployments around the globe
  • Deliver quality managed services in a consistent, timely manner

What we are looking for in you

  • Drive and a track record of going above-and-beyond expectations
  • Proven experience of software delivery using infrastructure as code
  • Proven experience managing devops teams for SAAS or similar offerings
  • Understanding of testing methodologies and maintainable code quality
  • Technical aptitude for understanding complex distributed systems
  • Experience with cloud topologies and technologies
  • Ability to travel twice a year, for company events up to two weeks long
  • An exceptional academic track record from both high school and university

Nice-to-have skills

  • Experience with Ubuntu system administration
  • Experience with agile software development methodologies
  • Experience working in and managing distributed teams

As an Executive Assistant within the Asset Management business, you will be responsible for managing your stakeholder diary and everyday needs, effectively and proactively prioritizing to ensure the team is able to seamlessly serve the needs of their clients. You will require minimal direction whilst utilizing your strong attention to detail to navigate the support for the group. You’ll be reliable and motivated, whilst demonstrating a high level of teamwork and flexibility, together with your strong problem-solving skills, confidentiality, and EQ.

You will be a strong communicator across both written and verbal skills. You will be managing a multitude of responsibilities, people and timeframes, whilst being adept across systems, policies and procedures, in a fast-paced environment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Maintain complex and detailed diaries across multiple time zones
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and manage the coordination and logistics of all meetings
  • Arrange and coordinate complicated domestic and international travel, whilst maintaining T&E policies
  • Process invoices and T&E expense claims for team members. Ensure all policies are followed and items are processed within provided guidelines. Act as a subject matter expert for policies and procedures
  • Produce high quality emails and messages to individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Handle regular activities without prompting, and advise in advance of any issues or delays
  • Work cooperatively with other Executive Assistants across the group, in positive partnership to support each other to work as a team
  • Lead and coordinate on ad hoc projects as requested
  • Coordinate events

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Minimum 8 years working as an Executive Assistant, ideally supporting at the Managing Director level (or equivalent)
  • Advanced ability to organize
  • Tact and good judgment in confidential situations, and proven experience interacting with senior management
  • Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to manage competing priorities i.e. calendar management
  • Business/Secretarial College diploma or equivalent

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct fundamental and/or quantitative research across asset classes (equities, fixed income, alternatives, etc.)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 8 years working as an Executive Assistant, ideally supporting at the Managing Director level (or equivalent)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to manage competing priorities i.e. calendar management

What you need to do:

  • Manage the debt collection team to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Design and implement digitalized notification measures for delinquent accounts and problematic clients.
  • Handle debt collector case assignments, legal proceedings, and recovery management processes.
  • Collaborate with outside collection agencies (OCAs) to streamline debt recovery efforts.
  • Review and analyze loan quality, providing detailed reports to the management team.
  • Develop loan restructuring proposals and assess the credit risk associated with problematic accounts.
  • Assist in inspections and monitor the sale of collateral assets to optimize recovery strategies.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in the financing field
  • Degree or above in Credit Risk Management, Statistics or related disciplines
  • Knowledge in freight and logistics practices would be an advantage
  • Strong sense of responsibility, independent and detail-minded
  • Proactive, innovative, and a good team player and leader
  • Good command of spoken and written English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
  • Able to work independently and manage a team
  • Willing to travel
  • Immediate availability is a plus
