Duties:

  1. To act in the role of Research Assistant of Hong Kong Design Research Archive of the Museum and responsible for assembling, cataloguing and managing newly received or historical information related to Hong Kong art and design;
  2. To conduct photo recording, measurements of artefacts and exhibits to input information such as object title, dimension, background information into the registration/inventory system of the Museum, or other database format instructed by representatives of the Museum;
  3. To assist the Museum in coordinating and handling various logistics and administrative work for the upcoming art and design exhibitions, competitions, programmes and activities to be held in ;

Qualification Requirements:

  1. Have a Bachelor degree from a Hong Kong or overseas university, preferably majoring in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Museum Studies, Cultural Management, Art Administration, Visual Culture, Design, Art History or equivalent;
  2. Have at least one (1) years of full-time working experience in research projects, art organisations, cultural or academic institute, museums, galleries;
  3. Possess "Level 2" results in the two language papers (Use of Chinese and Use of English) in the CRE or equivalent results;
  4. Good knowledge of Hong Kong Art and Design;
  5. Proficiency in proofreading and editing Chinese and English text;
  6. Experience in digitising, organising, and maintaining data for the collection database and research materials in the art and design archives, preferable within museums, galleries, cultural institutions, or related fields.
  7. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint in particular), Chinese character input, basic video and photo editing skills on PC and Mac OS System;
  8. Strong attention to detail, patience, responsibility, a self-motivated work attitude, and a willingness to undertake meticulous and repetitive date entry and processing tasks;
  9. Ability to work independently and systemically to provide all logistic support to the curatorial team;

Requirements:
