Duties of the research engineer:

Research and develop different nanomaterial-modified thermoplastic elastomer materials.

Develop testing methods to evaluate the performances of the developed thermoplastic elastomer materials.

Develop and optimise fabrication methods for in-house and customer trials.

Assist in scaling up and commercialising the modified thermoplastic elastomer materials.

Support project development, including drafting reports and presentations.

Liaise with suppliers, partners and customers on product development.

Requirements

·    Master's degree or above in chemistry, material science or polymer science. Fresh graduates would also be considered.

·    Proven experience in synthesising and testing polymers, preferably EVA, TPU, TPE and PEBA.

·    Familiar with material characterisation techniques (e.g. SEM, TGA, DSC, tensile strength and surface hardness measurements).

·    Experience of using 3D modelling software (such as AutoCAD) and 3D printer would be advantageous.

·    Willing to travel outside Hong Kong.
