About The Job
Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Food & Beverage Service Division in Hong Kong, the Restaurant Manager - Clipper Lounge is responsible for supervising the operations of the restaurant and ensure it is running smoothly and achieving the budgeted profit. The Restaurant Manager - Clipper Lounge reports to the Assistant Director of F&B.
As Restaurant Manager - Clipper Lounge, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Manage daily operations of the outlet. Ensure services, food presentation and cleanliness are up to guest satisfaction and standard
- Liaise closely with the Kitchen team on food quality or presentation and suggest areas where improvements can be made
- Liaise with internal and external parties on creating new menus and promotion programmes
- Develop and maintain good relationships with guests
- Handle guests' comments and complaints and take immediate corrective actions
- Responsible for colleague scheduling, briefing, performance reviews, recruitment, training & development and related issues
- Check daily maintenance, cleanliness of the restaurant and grooming of staff
- Responsible for budget plan, cost control, sales and revenue repots
- Ensure all controllable expenses are kept within budget and forecast figures
- Find ways to improve the efficiency of the operation that will benefit our clients
- Propose and initiate, new services and products for our guests
- Responsible for all aspects of Fire, Life, Health, Safety & Security pertaining to F&B operations, HACCP & Food Safety in the outlet
- Perform as F&B Duty Manager from time to time.
- 3-4 years relevant working experience in similar capacity in hotel Food & Beverage, preferably in luxury hotel
- Excellent managerial and interpersonal skills
- Service oriented, creative, energetic and well groomed
- Skilled at handling complaints and comments tactfully
- Good sense of Marketing strategies, cost control & budgeting
- Able to work under pressure.

About The Job

SUMMARY:

- Maintains fast, accurate service, ensures an excellent customer experience, and ensures that all products are consistent with company standards.
- Excels in performing all Crew Member tasks including: runner/frontline coordinator, order taker/ dining room attendant, grill operator, sandwich maker, fry station, drinks and cashier.
- Completes other duties as necessary.
QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:

**What we need from you**
+ A minimum of 5 years' experience in high-end restaurant operations, with at least 2 years in managerial role

+ Fluent in both English and Chinese; Mandarin is an advantage

Responsibilities- Maintain departmental standards and ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage equipment usage, report inventory issues, and maintain records.
- Share guest feedback with Chef and F&B Manager regularly.
- Address guest complaints, requests, or inquiries effectively.
- Control Food & Beverage costs to maximize revenue.
- Identify training needs and conduct service improvement programs.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as assigned by management.
- Degree or Diploma in hotel management, catering, or related discipline.
