You will be an integral part of the global Visa Government Solutions team. The role will be based in Hong Kong and report directly into the Head of Visa Government Solutions for Asia Pacific.

What a Government Solutions Director does at Visa:
Visa is seeking an experienced payment professional to join the Visa Government Solutions team to lead our public sector work in Hong Kong. The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:
- Deepan our public sector sales strategy and delivery in the region to increase sales volume and market share
- Identify and execute commercial opportunities in government led projects that focus on government payment flows, data and other government growth priorities to develop new business flows for Visa
- Lead RFP response and commercial deals in collaboration with cross-functional teams
- Engage and partner with potential partners in the form of issuers, acquirers, program managers, processors, fintechs and other enablers who will strengthen our government solution propositions
- Develop innovative strategies and solutions in collaboration with Visa cross-functional teams to address challenges and requests from government clients.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders including the Government Affairs team to strengthen our relationship with key public sector stakeholders, align on our government outreach strategy and targets, approach to educating decision makers and influencers on how Visa can support
- Partner with our marketing and communication teams to position Visa as a leader in the payments industry and a resource for government agencies
- Continuously review market landscape and recommend, develop, and implement new creative approaches to growing the Visa business

Government payments are a significant part of this, be it government making payments to suppliers or social payments in form of disbursements or even accepting tax payments from citizens. At the same time Governments are leading the way in launching innovations in payments (such as Central Bank Digital Currencies, open data) and in dealing with the big challenges of our times (climate, sustainability). We are looking to partner with governments around the world as they drive ambitious plans in a variety of areas such as to support economic recovery and drive digitalization.
What you will need:
- 12+ years’ experience in government/ state-owned enterprise/ public sector sales management, with expertise in payments/ financial services industry managing complex deals and sales
- Active network in the public sector across Hong Kong
- Fluent in English and Cantonese
- Robust understanding of how public sector sales and public agencies operate with deep expertise in navigating government agencies and procedures, including government procurement and public sector contracting vehicles
- Very strong collaboration and relationship skills required to balance the need to both navigate and serve external client and partner requirements, whilst leading internal cross-functional teams in solution development and go-to-market strategy
- Strong business development and consultative sales experience, with the ability to share with a wide range of stakeholders on Visa’s capabilities and produce business cases
- Understand payment flows between Governments, Governments and businesses, Government and citizens
- Strong financial acumen and outcome oriented
- Ability to negotiate business agreements whilst enhancing existing and new relationships

- Prior sales and consulting experience servicing government clients and projects
- Specialist public sector payments infrastructure expertise is a plus

- Experience in effectively creating and confidently delivering presentations to senior stakeholders with strong written and oral communication

- You have extensive experience in account management, B2B sales, or business development, ideally within capital markets or financial technology.
- You possess a solid understanding of financial markets, with the credibility and confidence to build trusted relationships across the buyside, sellside, and advisory community.
- You have a proven track record of managing and growing a portfolio of enterprise clients, with responsibility for at least $1m+ in annual revenue.
- You are highly organised, with the ability to plan, prioritise, and execute tasks with accuracy and attention to detail, even when managing multiple priorities.

General Manager / Product Lead | Start-up (Consumer/Retail Technology, Lifestyle & Entertainment)

The flagship product is an innovative O2O interactive platform revolutionizing consumer engagement.
The company seeks a visionary General Manager with robust product management expertise to lead strategic and operational initiatives in the Hong Kong market, with a focus on regional and global expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO, the General Manager will drive business growth, lead product development, and foster cross-functional collaboration to deliver a market-leading product experience.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements a strategic business plan for the O2O interactive platform, focusing on market penetration, product adoption, and revenue growth in Hong Kong, with an eye toward regional and global markets.
- Defines and prioritizes product features, creating detailed roadmaps for feature rollouts, ensuring alignment with consumer needs and business objectives.
- Leads cross-functional collaboration with marketing, technology, and operations teams to execute product strategies, ensuring seamless integration and delivery.
- Builds and nurtures relationships with local and regional stakeholders, including space providers, business partners, and community influencers, to drive platform adoption and partnerships.
- Oversees P&L, optimizes distribution channels, and manages operational performance to achieve ambitious revenue and growth targets.
- Leverages deep insights into retail, technology, and consumer trends to identify opportunities for product innovation and strategic partnerships across multiple markets.
- Acts as a product evangelist, contributing creative ideas to enhance platform features and elevate consumer engagement and brand appeal.
- Monitors market trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to inform product strategy and maintain a competitive edge regionally and globally.
- Represents the company at industry events, networking forums, and stakeholder engagements to amplify the platform’s presence in Hong Kong and beyond.
- Provides leadership and mentorship to a lean team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and results-driven collaboration.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years of leadership experience in product management or business development, ideally within consumer technology, retail, or lifestyle sectors.
- Proven track record of driving product development, including defining and executing product roadmaps, feature prioritization, and successful rollouts.
- Strong project management skills, with experience leading cross-functional teams (e.g., technology, marketing, operations) to deliver complex projects on time and within scope.
- Deep understanding of retail dynamics, distribution channels, and consumer technology trends, with a passion for creating innovative, user-centric solutions.
- Proficiency in Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) and English to effectively engage with local stakeholders and global teams.
- Business-savvy mindset with demonstrated success in managing P&L, driving revenue growth, and optimizing operational efficiency.
- Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to envision innovative product features and translate them into actionable plans.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, product management, or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
- Global perspective with exposure to international markets (e.g., Singapore, Japan, Korea, Dubai) and an understanding of diverse consumer preferences.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills to inspire teams and influence stakeholders across regions.
