Responsibilities

• Ensure that all safety regulations and standards are strictly followed on the construction site.
• Support the safety supervision for construction sites.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections and incidents, and coordinate safety training and meetings.
• Be responsible for Occupational Safety and Health.
• Implement and maintain the Safety Management System

Requirements

• Registered Safety Officer is a must.
• Degree/Higher Diploma holder in Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience on construction sites.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese.
• Proficient in PC skills, including MS Office.
• Candidate with more experience will be considered as Senior Safety Officer

Responsibilities

• Assist in ensuring all public lighting activities are carried out in the safe manner and conditions
• Conduct routine site inspections and risk assessments, identify risks and formulate preventive measures and monitor its effectiveness
• Prepare initial incident reports and inspection findings, and recommend remedial actions to address any irregularities
• Conduct toolbox talks, safety inductions, and training sessions to all staff, subcontractors and workers, and arrange safety meetings for individual projects
• Ensure proper documentation management to meet statutory and/or client's requirements
• Participate in safety and health promotion initiatives in corporate and department level, including internal and external competitions
• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience, within which 1 year at supervisory role
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proactive attitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team
• A Registered Safety Officer under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Safety Officers and Safety Supervisors) Regulations
• Good command of both written and spoken Chinese and fair English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including MS Word, Excel and Chinese Word Processing
