Based at the Mandarin Oriental, Hong Kong within Reservations Department in Hong Kong, the Reservations Sales Agent is responsible for recording and processing all room reservations made by phone, email other booking platform and online chats efficiently and accurately. Convert all reservation inquiries to sales where possible to meet hotel targets. The Reservations Sales Agent reports to the Reservations Manager.
As Reservations Sales Agent, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- Handle hotel reservations inquiries through multiple platforms
- Data input into the PMS system in the correct format as set in the PMS Operational Manual
- Ensure communication with other departments is well maintained with information which pertains to them

Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received by phone, fax, or mail. Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate. Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers. Accommodate and document special requests. Answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations. Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue. Communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations. Input and access data in reservation system.
