We are seeking a technically proficient and commercially driven Sales Engineer to support the growth and delivery of media solutions across our satellite communication infrastructure. This role combines strong technical acumen with customer-facing responsibilities to drive product adoption, solution design, and business development for media broadcast, content distribution, and streaming services.
The Sales Engineer will play a key role in bridging customer needs with our product development roadmap, ensuring our media solutions align with market demands and technical feasibility. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, team-oriented, and able to communicate complex technologies in a simple, customer-focused manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the technical lead in the pre-sales process, supporting sales teams in understanding client needs and proposing satellite-enabled media solutions or other delivery means. 
• Work closely with the AVP and Product Management & Media Solutions team to conceptualize, develop, and position new and existing media products and services (e.g., video distribution over satellite, DTH, SMATV system and 5G BPF, live streaming and OTT content delivery, IP transport and Cloud solutions). 
• Prepare technical proposals, system designs, and customer presentations tailored to specific use cases and deployment models. 
• Lead proof-of-concept trials, solution demonstrations, and post-sale technical onboarding when needed. 
• Analyze customer requirements and industry trends to identify solution gaps, product improvements, or new features. 
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and marketing teams to align technical capabilities with commercial strategies. 
• Represent the company at industry events, tradeshows, and customer workshops as a technical subject matter expert. 
• Support pricing strategy and contract development through technical input and feasibility assessments. 
• Assist in the preparation of RFI/RFP responses and technical documentation. 
• To perform ad hoc projects as requested by the company. 
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, Broadcast Technology, or related field (Master's preferred). 
• 5 years of experience in a sales engineering, solutions engineering, or technical pre-sales role, ideally within satellite, broadcast, or telecom/media industries. 
• Experience with satellite communications, RF systems, and video transport technologies 
• Solid understanding of media contribution and distribution networks, cloud-based workflows, CDN, or hybrid broadcast-streaming solutions is highly desirable. 
• Experience working in a cross-functional environment with sales, finance, legal and engineering teams. 
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. 
• Fluency in verbal and written English. Proficiency in Chinese is an advantage. 
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings, site visits, and industry events. 
Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of satellite ground segment and teleport operations. 
• Familiarity with content delivery technologies, compression standards, and video encoding workflows.
