About the role
Reporting to the department head, you will be responsible for identifying potential income streams and guiding them from conception to implementation. Your role will involve evaluating specific new business areas that could enhance the company's service portfolio, such as overseas business partnerships, developing consulting services, and promoting new technology and to provide innovative solutions for local clients. You will also analyse the organization's capabilities to explore effective business delivery methods and formulate a strategic business proposal outlining opportunities and delivery approaches. Additionally, you will lay the foundational principles for any new ventures by developing a comprehensive business proposal and market delivery strategy. This will require close collaboration with a well-established network of internal and external stakeholders to pinpoint target markets, anticipated market share, and potential revenue objectives.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience; advanced degree or relevant certifications are a plus
- years of experience in managed services, partner management in the Financial Services domain will be a plus
- Provides high value industry knowledge and consulting to customers on IT technology, Enterprise solution, Cloud solution, application technology etc.
- Specifically positioned to build customers image as trusted advisor and promote our customers value proposition and related roadmap portfolio
- Consulting background welcome
- Extremely strong communication, interpersonal, relationship management and professional sales skills
- Strong team management skills and able to coach the team
- Good command in Chinese and English

Our client is a well-established international trading company with a strong footprint in the pulp and paper sector. Known for its agile approach, deep market knowledge, and commitment to long-term partnerships, the firm plays a key role in bridging supply and demand in the paper and packaging industry. They are now in search of a Sales Manager to be based in HK.
Job Duties:
- Take responsibility for Paper, Wood Pulp for a defined customer portfolio in Asia including already existing long-term agency agreements
- Negotiate and conclude sales contracts primarily focusing on wood and pulp companies
- Prepare and execute entry into new markets, seize new sourcing opportunities and acquire new customers
- Develop new and maintain existing business relations through frequent business trips to our customers and suppliers
- Attend important trade shows in order to broaden your scope of possibilities
- Work independently in close cooperation with suppliers, customers and local agents. You always have support from both our team and other colleagues
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree Holder
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in physical commodity trading preferably in the pulp & paper industry on international level
- You speak and write excellent English, Mandarin is desirable (other languages are welcome)
- You have pronounced communication capabilities and are eager to build and maintain relationships
- You can manage different markets and mentalities and have multicultural working experience
