We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the School of Nursing and Health Studies :
Major Duties And Responsibilities
The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:

• Undertaking course planning and development;
• Undertaking course coordination, clinical assessments and mentoring, and classroom teaching in Mental Health Nursing and related disciplines/areas;
• Undertaking/engaging in scholarly activities/academic research and
• Participating in School/University activities and administration; and
• Performing any duties as assigned by the Dean.
  

• A Master’s degree in Nursing or a related health discipline;
• Professional registration/licensure with relevant Boards/Councils as appropriate;
• Relevant teaching experience with at least 3 years’ of professional experience in the areas of Mental Health Nursing;
• Track record in relevant research areas where appropriate; and
• A good command of English and Chinese.

Key Responsibilities

i. Conduct comprehensive psycho-educational assessment for students with learning or adjustment difficulties to identify their learning, emotional, and behavioural needs;

ii. Provide consultation and support to staff and parents to cater for students' diverse educational needs;

iii. Lead or participate in case meetings, student reviews, and team discussions;

iv. Deliver professional learning workshops and sharing activities for staff and parents to enhance understanding and support for students with special educational needs;

v. Collaborate with school management, guidance team, and external professionals to develop coordinated support plans;

Requirements

vi. Perform other professional duties as required.

i. A Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from a local university, or equivalent;

ii. A Master’s degree in Educational Psychology (Professional Practice) from a local university, or equivalent;

iii. Eligibility for membership in the Division of Educational Psychology of the Hong Kong Psychological Society;

iv. A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a qualified Educational Psychologist;

v. Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese;

vi. Strong interpersonal and communication skills;

vii. A collaborative and flexible approach to working within a multidisciplinary environment.
