The West Kowloon Cultural District Authority welcomes exceptional talent with a passion to realise the vision and mission of making the West Kowloon Cultural District a prime local and international destination for arts, culture and entertainment.
You will be responsible for:
• assisting in developing public engagement strategy and driving community outreach initiatives so as to enhance the public understanding of the work of the Authority and foster support from local community;
• planning, leading and organising community outreach programmes and initiatives of the District;
• cultivating relations and liaising with government organisations, arts and cultural programme partners, and NGO/community groups;
• coordinating communication materials for Consultation Panel and liaising with the Working Group under Consultation Panel on youth and community engagement initiatives and programme review;
• arranging visits and preparing communications materials including press releases, speeches, and presentation materials, etc;
• handling and coordinating responses to enquiries from community groups, District Councils when required;
• assisting in message development, internal and external stakeholders' liaison in crisis communications and issues handling; and
• driving and executing ad-hoc communications projects when required; and
• performing any other duties from time to time as reasonably assigned by the Authority.
You should:
• possess a recognised university degree or above in Public Relations, Journalism, Communications or related discipline;
• have at least 5 years of relevant and solid experience in public relations, events management, media relations, corporate communications, corporate social responsibility and community engagement;
• have proven experience in engaging government bodies, NGOs, community groups; arts and culture groups;
• possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, be a good team player with creativity and dynamism, attention to details, and able to multi-task and meet tight deadlines and work under pressure;
• be able to plan, execute and manage projects independently to achieve the communications goals;
• have high adaptability to an environment of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity;
• be passionate about arts and culture; and
• have excellent spoken and written English and Chinese; be proficient in Putonghua.

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Support in implementing brand-building marketing and communications strategy to amplify the organisation's impact and drive public exposure and awareness;
- Support the organisation's overall marketing and promotional needs by delivering full-spectrum online and offline marketing campaigns, from research, planning, design, implementation and data evaluation;
- Support the design and production of the organisation's marketing collaterals, including but not limited to printed brochures, posters, videos, e-newsletters, graphics, and more;
- Gatekeeper of the organisation's social media platforms by ensuring all content communications, messaging, and engagement with the public audience maximise awareness and impact of our work;
- Maintain the organisation's digital assets daily (including but not limited to social media platforms, website, and content calendar) and deploy suitable tools and strategies to engage with public audiences and drive results;
- Support in marketing research, PR and publicity planning, programme interviews, video production, annual fundraising/signature events and ad-hoc organisational events and workshops;
- Support in liaison with internal and external vendors and work across different levels of stakeholders to ensure smooth completion under tight deadlines.
Requirements:
- Degree holder or above in Marketing, Journalism, Media & Communications or Business-related disciplines;
- 2-3 years of experience in marketing, project management, digital marketing, event management, design & production preferred;
- Proficient in both written and spoken Chinese and English;
- Knowledge in marketing and design software such as Photoshop, Adobe AI, InDesign, Canva, Mailchimp, CMS, CRM and video editing tools will be advantageous;
- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and independent to drive results;
- Strong problem-solving, organisational, and analytical skills;
- Able to handle multiple tasks and propose solutions independently, and work under pressure under tight schedules;
- Maintain an open and positive attitude towards challenges, and enjoy brainstorming ideas and turning ideas into actions to spread organisational impact;
- Good team player and able to work across different levels of internal & external stakeholders, and willing to roll up the sleeves and work seamlessly with our small team;

HKU-CTC's Corporate Communications and Public Engagement Team is dedicated to fostering communications and engagement with stakeholders in the healthcare community, including volunteers who are interested in supporting clinical research activities. HKU-CTC is seeking talents who have the passion in promoting healthcare advancement through public engagement and strategic communications. Comprehensive on-job training will be provided.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement corporate communications and public engagement strategies and publicity plans;
- Supervise and mentor the communications team;
- Plan, manage and organize corporate communications activities and events to enhance stakeholder engagement, raise public awareness, and strengthen organizational communications;
- Develop strategies for maintaining and optimizing websites and social media platforms to maximize engagement and presence;
- Promote volunteer relations and facilitate public education using multi-dimensional strategies;

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in both Biological/Natural Sciences and Communications/Public Relations/Media Studies;
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in corporate communications, event/project management or corporate administration, preferably in the medical and/or research sectors;
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills;
- Detail-minded, able to handle multiple concurrent tasks, and self-motivated;
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua); and
- Proficiency in multimedia, graphic design and video-editing tools is an added advantage.
The appointment will be made on a two-year fixed-term full-time contract, to commence as soon as possible with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, together with contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 10% of basic salary. Other benefits include annual leave and medical benefits.
