Position Overview
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons in physics, biology, or chemistry aligned with the IB curriculum.
- Assess student progress and foster a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development.
- Contribute to the school community and extracurricular activities.
- Strong knowledge of physics, biology, or chemistry concepts within the IB MYP or DP.
- Ability to plan, deliver, and assess effective science lessons using inquiry-based learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficient in integrating technology into teaching and learning experiences.
- Experience with the IB curriculum and assessment practices preferred.
- Willingness to adapt to the evolving needs of the IB programme and school environment.
- Genuine enthusiasm for science and commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with a Postgraduate
- Certificate/Diploma in Education (PGCE/PGDE)
- An understanding of the MYP and the key underpinnings of the curriculum frameworks is advantageous
- Newly qualified teachers or teaching experience within a recognised educational institute
