The Issuer Services Department is part of the wider Services organization. The Department contains a diverse section of units which support our Issuer Services Clients, Product and Sales partners. The services we provide include Depository servicing, Issuing & Paying agency services and specialised agency functions such as Account Bank, Project Finance, Structured Finance and Escrow Agent functions. The Securities & Derivative Analyst 1 is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions originating from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform trade verifications to ensure accuracy of booking requests
- Data maintenance and billing
- Generate and match trade confirmations
- Complete settlement tasks and daily rate revaluations accurately and on time
- Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
- Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention activities in accordance with established policies
- Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports
- Participate in the periodic General Ledger (GL) proofing exercises as directed
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Qualifications:
- Relevant experience preferred with minimum one year of working experience
- Fundamental understanding of Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies
- Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred

What role will you play?
In this dynamic role, you will be empowered to explore new ideas, originate, identify and execute profitable trading opportunities across seven regional markets, partnering with sales and other trading businesses to distribute products aligned to Macquarie’s competitive advantages. You will play a key role in driving automation and process improvement for the team, managing and optimising equity inventory, with a focus on efficient allocation, rate management, funding, optimising capital usage and relationship management. With effective risk and control management in mind, you will also work to ensure trading risks are foreseen, managed and escalated within the group framework.

- Existing exposure to trading either through a front office or middle office support role, with exposure to Securities Lending an advantage

What role will you play?
In this dynamic role, you will be empowered to explore new ideas, originate, identify and execute profitable trading opportunities across seven regional markets, partnering with sales and other trading businesses to distribute products aligned to Macquarie’s competitive advantages. You will play a key role in driving automation and process improvement for the team, managing and optimising equity inventory, with a focus on efficient allocation, rate management, funding, optimising capital usage and relationship management. With effective risk and control management in mind, you will also work to ensure trading risks are foreseen, managed and escalated within the group framework.
What You Offer
- Existing exposure to trading either through a front office or middle office support role, with exposure to Securities Lending an advantage
