We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Securities & Derivatives Analyst 1 - KOWLOON (Hybrid) (Internal Job Title: Securities & Derivatives Analyst 1 - C09) based in Kowloon, Hong Kong. • Perform trade verifications to ensure accuracy of booking requests
• Data maintenance and billing
• Generate and match trade confirmations
• Complete settlement tasks and daily rate revaluations accurately and on time
• Coordinate transaction processing issues to the appropriate department and collaborate on a solution
• Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention activities in accordance with established policies
• Prepare and submit periodic internal and external regulatory reports
• Participate in the periodic General Ledger (GL) proofing exercises as directed
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
  

• Relevant experience preferred with minimum one year of working experience
• Fundamental understanding of Treasury products, accounting and regulatory policies
• Proven ability to perform various concurrent activities/projects in a high-risk environment
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  

• Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred

• Assist the team head for the system development of the Bank’s securities products in response to the market conditions, business strategies, and the HKEX / regulators’ requirements
• Work closely with various business units, IT specialists, and vendors for system requirement analysis, test case design, performing UAT and system health checking
• Manage project process, documentation, progress reporting, status meeting and escalation effectively
• Degree holder or above in Business Administration or IT related disciplines, or equivalent qualifications at HKQF level 5
• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in stock trading system and E-channels
• Qualified under SFO for handling Regulated Activities Types 1 & 4 is a must
• Prior experience in overseas stock trading system, trade surveillance, and PMP certification would be an advantage
• Capable of managing project independently as well as working with multiple project stakeholders
• Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
• Proficient in written and spoken Chinese and English, Mandarin speaking candidate is preferable

What role will you play?

In this dynamic role, you will be empowered to explore new ideas, originate, identify and execute profitable trading opportunities across seven regional markets, partnering with sales and other trading businesses to distribute products aligned to Macquarie’s competitive advantages. You will play a key role in driving automation and process improvement for the team, managing and optimising equity inventory, with a focus on efficient allocation, rate management, funding, optimising capital usage and relationship management. With effective risk and control management in mind, you will also work to ensure trading risks are foreseen, managed and escalated within the group framework.

• Passion for Crypto/Web3, curiosity to explore new tech. CFA/CPA/FRM holders preferred. Fluent in English for reading literature and attending international events.
