Reporting to the APAC SOC Manager, you will:
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor the SIEM for suspicious events and anomalous activity
- Provide first level response for security events (up to L3)
- Handle event triaging by criticality
- Conduct proactive threat hunting
- Validate suspicious events and incidents by using open-source and proprietary intelligence sources
- Incident management, response, and reporting
- Participate to continuous improvement, alert design and workflow management
- Provide information to the client regarding intrusion events, security incidents, warning information and other threat indications
The ideal candidate has:
- Engineering/IT/Cybersecurity degree
- Good knowledge of networks and systems protocols
- Strong grasp on IT Security methodologies and approaches
- Understanding and experience with incident response methodologies
- Working knowledge of security issues, vulnerabilities, exploits, regulatory and legal changes, and security standards that may impact information security
- Ability to display superb listening, verbal, and written communication skills in English

- Perform security compliance assessment activities, including periodic technical, organizational, and third-party risk and control assessments, and managing remediation activities to completion
- Design necessary control required to comply with international standards and local regulations
- Evaluate technical and organisational controls to ensure effectiveness and compliance, including managing the control remediation efforts
- Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort in control testing and audit readiness through scripting and compliance tooling
- Drive the development and implementation of automation solutions to streamline compliance monitoring, evidence collection, and reporting processes
- Experience in information security compliance, security operations or technology risk management, or consultation related roles
- Prefer experience with one or more of the following: conducting security control assessments, risk assessments or implementing security solutions

- Strong knowledge of SQL for querying databases, generating reports, and debugging data-related issues.
- Experience with scripting languages (like Python, Shell, Perl) to automate tasks and enhance system monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (like Nagios, Splunk, Grafana, or similar) to track system performance and detect anomalies.
- Ability to analyze logs to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Knowledge of financial systems (like order management systems, bookkeeping platforms, and position management tools) and understanding of Equity Prime Brokerage and securities financing is highly desirable.
- Experience working in a Follow-the-Sun support model and collaborating with global teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, especially during critical incidents.
- Excellent English communication skills to interact with users, management, and global teams along with ability to translate technical issues into simple language for users.
- Industry standard certifications like ITIL, Agile and DevOps in cloud technologies, Unix/Linux, SQL etc are preferred but not mandatory.

As part of Front Office IT (GBTO) department, the Financing tech team oversees development and support of tools used by Equity Prime Brokerage and Security finance traders, sales, and operations staff.
The asia team comprises of developers and application support analysts collaborating in DevOps model. Team is based in Hong Kong and Tokyo locations and located in dealing room interacting with Front and Middle Office staff daily. Asia support team works in partnership with offshore team based in India to deliver solutions and services for the business during Asia hours and colaborates with peers in other regions under FTS model.
