As (Senior) Cyber Security Consultant & Penetration Tester, you will execute a variety of engagements, conducting advanced hands-on penetration testing beyond automated tool validation, which will focus on targets that may include network devices, servers, web and mobile apps, web APIs, wireless infrastructures, IoT devices, and other information systems.

What your key responsibilities will be
- Lead & execute network, web and mobile application, wireless, and social engineering penetration tests that will vary in level of complexity from simple to potentially complex.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the IT security industry, including awareness of new or revised security solutions, security standards, trends / best practices, offensive techniques, and tools.
- Author quality penetration test reports with professional documentation of identified and exploited vulnerabilities/weaknesses, providing detailed remediation guidance for findings.
- Serve as a consultant in pre-sales, including assessment of client needs, project scopes and proposal preparation.
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in computer science or information systems, or equivalent work experience.
- One to three years security experience in a security analyst, engineer, architect, consultant or a similar role, including a minimum of 6 months to a year experience in penetration testing.
- Proficiency in a variety of operating systems such as Unix/Linux/Mac/Windows operating systems, including bash and PowerShell.
- Know-how in manual techniques for penetration testing (network equipment, servers, web applications, APIs, wireless, mobile, databases, and other information systems).
- Familiarity with Penetration Testing tools like Burp Suite and Kali Linux.
- Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 security vulnerabilities.
- Certifications such as OSCP, CREST CPSA, GWAPT, GPEN, and others are an asset.
Language Skills:
- Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese (written and spoken).
Soft Skills:

- Strong OSINT collection and organization skills, both manual and automated.
- In-depth knowledge of modern offensive security tools and frameworks, including Bloodhound, nmap, and Impacket.

Your Impact
As a Channel Cybersecurity Architect, your primary responsibility will be to provide technical sales support and guidance on the Cisco Security Solutions Portfolio to our partners and distributors. You'll need extensive knowledge and experience across the information security domain. Your role will involve articulating the benefits of the Cisco Security Platform and integrated Architecture across Hybrid Cloud Transformation, Zero Trust Access and Security Operations. You must be adept at conducting business and technical conversations at various levels with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Cybersecurity Partner Team, Cybersecurity Sales Specialist, and general Sales team by directly assisting with identified customer opportunities and Partner development across the APJC region.
- Promote the technical value and business benefits of Cisco Security solutions and Go-To-Market approach.
- Build trusted technical advisor relationships with partners at all levels, aligning the Cisco vision with relevant business strategies. Present and demonstrate technical solutions in a business-relevant manner to all levels of the partner organization.
- Utilize Cisco-defined processes and tools, such as Salesforce (SFDC), to navigate the sales cycle, implementing relevant Cisco enablement programs and tools to drive Security sales opportunities.
- Explain the elements of Cisco Security solutions and architecture and their interconnections with all elements of the Cisco portfolio, ensuring the features and benefits are understood and valued by partners and customers.
- Ensure the detailed features, functionality, and architectural impact of Cisco technology in your designs and proposals are communicated effectively.
- Build a working knowledge of technology shifts impacting security and other architectures, such as Software Defined Networking, Data Center Architectures, and Hybrid Cloud transformation.
- University degree in a technical subject area or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in the security field and with 4 years as a pre-sales Systems Engineer (SE) experience.
- Experience in enterprise architecture, security operations, compliance auditing, or Security DevOps.
- Maintain strong personal organization and time management skills.
- Be detail-oriented and consistently follow up on tasks.
- Possess outstanding presentation skills.
- Work flexibly to achieve goals using various internal and external resources. Invest time in learning about technology shifts and communicate relevant aspects to customers and partners.
- Cisco CCIE certification is highly regarded.

When available, the salary range posted for this position reflects the projected hiring range for new hire, full-time salaries in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including equity or benefits. For non-sales roles the hiring ranges reflect base salary only; employees are also eligible to receive annual bonuses. Hiring ranges for sales positions include base and incentive compensation target. Individual pay is determined by the candidate's hiring location and additional factors, including but not limited to skillset, experience, and relevant education, certifications, or training. Applicants may not be eligible for the full salary range based on their U.S. or Canada hiring location. U.S. employees haveaccess ( to quality medical, dental and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan with a Cisco matching contribution, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance and numerous wellbeing offerings.
Employees receive up to twelve paid holidays per calendar year, which includes one floating holiday (for non-exempt employees), plus a day off for their birthday. Non-Exempt new hires accrue up to 16 days of vacation time off each year, at a rate of 4.92 hours per pay period. Exempt new hires participate in Cisco's flexible Vacation Time Off policy, which does not place a defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use, but is subject to availability and some business limitations. All new hires are eligible for Sick Time Off subject to Cisco's Sick Time Off Policy and will have eighty (80) hours of sick time off provided on their hire date and on January 1st of each year thereafter. Up to 80 hours of unused sick time will be carried forward from one calendar year to the next such that the maximum number of sick time hours an employee may have available is 160 hours. Employees in Illinois have a unique time off program designed specifically with local requirements in mind. All employees also have access to paid time away to deal with critical or emergency issues. We offer additional paid time to volunteer and give back to the community.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
.75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
