About The Role

The Chainlink Labs Product Security team is looking for a driven and passionate Security Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. You will help design and advise other teams on secure and scalable architectures, assist with their implementation, and develop entirely new and novel systems that protect Chainlink and the Web3 ecosystem. You’ll have the opportunity to help shape and secure the next generation of Web3 products and infrastructure.

What You Will Do

  • Build security tools and controls that are deployed across the company
  • Design, develop, and deploy new core security features to public Chainlink products like the Chainlink core node
  • Define new processes and systems that make attacks on our networks hard to execute and easy to detect
  • Immerse yourself in Chainlink’s upcoming engineering and non-engineering projects and ensure security is fundamental to their design and functionality
  • Help define, shape, and achieve the company’s broader security goals

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience in Go or Rust
  • Experience in a security related function
  • Experience building security software or securing enterprise systems
  • Comfortable with *nix operating systems (including macOS)
  • Ability to adapt to fast changing environment and set of technologies

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience writing or auditing Solidity
  • Experience auditing or securing frontends (React, NPM)
  • Strong understanding of cryptography, including concepts such as TLS, FIDO, encryption, and public key cryptography

Within our System Security Team, you are responsible for the implementation, the administration, the supervision, support, and evolution of the various security solutions implemented for our key account customers.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensure and contribute to the operational maintenance of SOC, hosted systems and associated safety equipment
  • Remotely administer our customers’ servers and security solutions
  • Support customers with SN2/SN3 technical support requests
  • Collaborate on updating procedures and documents
  • Support some evolution or redesign projects
  • Participate in security solutions analysis and reporting to protect strategic customer information and infrastructure!
  • Be the last line of defence before a disaster by ensuring implementation and testing required before deployment
  • Perform corrective and scalable maintenance of application test scenarios

The ideal candidate has:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in IT
  • Ideally a first similar experience in security, systems and networks, with an appetite for small developments
  • Dynamic, curious and on-going technology watch

And ideally, the following skills :

  • IP networks and services: DNS, proxy, NAC, LDAP/AD, bastion
  • Log management would be a plus

About the Opportunity

Job Description:

  • Develop and enhance data security detection capabilities, including but not limited to DLP, data encryption and data masking;
  • Continuously validate existing data security rules and models; follow up on data security incident identification, response, handling, investigation, and forensics;
  • Continuously improve risk identification capabilities in data security by optimizing detection rules and models to optimize the overall detection coverage; build data asset maps; use graph detection and other techniques to trace data flows and identify sensitive data exfiltration risks.

Job Requirements:

  • Major in information security, network security, or computer science; 3–5 years of relevant experience in data security;
  • Familiar with the data security lifecycle, understanding the risk points and key objectives at each stage;
  • Familiar with common security offense and defense techniques, with experience in building security operations and managing data security risks; strong sensitivity to data exposure risks;
  • Familiar with data security products and detection methods such as DLP, UEBA, sensitive data identification, data encryption/decryption, and secure data sharing;
  • Experience with enterprise-level endpoint data protection solutions; experience in endpoint security, familiarity with macOS and Linux systems, and hands-on experience in data threat modeling is a plus;
  • Experience with enterprise-level big data analysis tools such as Flink, Hive, Spark, ElasticSearch, and graph technologies; hands-on experience in security data mining, analytics, or threat intelligence analysis is a plus;
  • Strong logical thinking and communication skills, with a good understanding of compliance and legal considerations.

Job Description
  • Develop host-based security detection capabilities, including malware analysis, intrusion detection, threat modeling, and host behavior baseline modeling for office and production environments.
  • Continuously improve existing security policies and detection models; respond to threat alerts and incidents to enhance detection accuracy and coverage.
  • Enhance host data collection and detection pipelines to improve data quality and coverage, ensuring consistency between real-time and offline data.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in information security, network security, or computer science, with 3-5 years of experience in host security.

Responsibilities

About the Opportunity

  • Responsible for the development and continuous optimization of internal web security capabilities, including intrusion technique research, intrusion behavior analysis, feature extraction, traffic detection modeling, and the development/validation/iteration of detection rules.
  • Responsible for verifying and continuously improving the reliability, coverage depth, and breadth of existing security capabilities through red-team and blue-team exercises.
  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining the company's internal risk control system, conducting risk analysis to identify risk patterns and features for business risk modeling, providing early warnings and solution planning, and driving product and business process optimization to reduce business risk incidents.
  • Participate in intrusion event emergency response, handling, and post-incident review.


Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in information security, computer science, or related fields.
  • Solid foundation in security offensive and defensive knowledge, understanding common vulnerability principles and attack techniques, and familiarity with best practices and common defense solutions.
  • Strong experience in data analysis and strategy analysis; experience in risk strategy/data mining is a plus.
  • Good learning ability and communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience independently managing penetration testing, intrusion detection capability development and maintenance, traffic detection modeling, and security emergency response.
  • Experience in system risk control, technical risk modeling, and related work. Practical experience in threat modeling and risk control is a plus
