Job Description
Overview
Crimson Education is the world’s leading college admissions consultancy, with over 1,320 Ivy League offers and 2,140 to the US Top 15. We help ambitious students gain admission to the world’s top universities through expert-led guidance and proven, data-driven strategies. Crimson students are 7x more likely to get into the Ivy League than their peers. We’ve raised over $89M USD from top-tier global investors, including Tiger Global, and have expanded into over 30 countries. We were recently featured on the front page of the Wall Street Journal — read the article here.
The Role
We’re looking for a revenue-driven, high-agency Data Analyst to supercharge our marketing performance. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, owns their projects end-to-end, and has a relentless focus on driving tangible business outcomes.
You’ll be a key player in transforming how we leverage data to optimise marketing spend, improve ROI, and accelerate growth across multiple regions. You’ll build scalable reporting infrastructure in Metabase using Snowflake, maintain a reliable source of truth for marketing performance, and support the implementation of integrations and attribution models that improve decision-making across the funnel.
You’ll sit within the HQ Marketing team, reporting to the Senior Product Manager, Growth, and collaborate closely with website, engineering, paid media, content, and CRM teams — as well as learn from other data professionals across the business.
What are the main responsibilities for this role?- Build and maintain high-impact dashboards in Metabase or Looker Studio that unlock revenue-driving insights, leveraging data from Snowflake, Meta, Google Ads, GA4, Marketo, Salesforce, and internal tools.
- Generate actionable, revenue-focused insights to guide campaign strategies, reduce customer acquisition costs, and maximise return on ad spend (ROAS).
- Take full responsibility for the data lifecycle — from extraction to insight — ensuring clean, consistent, and trustworthy data flows across platforms and teams.
- Develop and iterate on multi-touch attribution models, enabling precise measurement of marketing impact across the full customer journey.
- Spearhead offline conversion integrations (e.g., Salesforce → Google Ads), defining requirements and collaborating with engineers to deliver seamless data flows.
- Identify and eliminate bottlenecks in data processes, improving the speed and reliability of performance insights.
- Act as a trusted data partner to marketing, product, and engineering teams, proactively identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Revenue Impact: Marketing outcomes improve over time — driven by your reporting, integrations, and insight delivery — and reflected in stronger ROAS and lower acquisition costs.
- Trusted Data: We have clearly defined, consistently maintained dashboards and accurate, aligned data across platforms — trusted by stakeholders as a single source of truth to support fast, informed decision-making.
- Scalable & Effective Solutions: You develop attribution models that clarify the impact of marketing initiatives across the customer journey — while building scalable data infrastructure that grows with the business and supports advanced analytics needs.
- Proactive Ownership: You independently identify and resolve data discrepancies, optimise attribution, and drive ongoing improvements without waiting for direction.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Marketing, product, and engineering teams actively seek your input to shape strategy and execution.
- 2–5 years in data science, analytics, or a related role, ideally with a focus on revenue-driven performance marketing.
- Expert-level SQL, Python, and hands-on experience with data warehouses like Snowflake. Familiarity with Node.js is a plus.
- Deep understanding of platforms like Metabase, Looker, Google Ads, Meta, GA4, Salesforce, and Marketo.
- Self-starter who takes full ownership of projects, thrives in ambiguity, and drives outcomes without micromanagement.
- Ability to break down complex data problems, identify patterns, and derive insights that directly impact revenue.
- Skilled at simplifying complex data for non-technical stakeholders, ensuring insights are understood and acted upon.
- Always looking for ways to optimise, iterate, and scale data processes to unlock greater business impact.
- Rapidly growing start up, with a flexible working environment where you will be empowered to structure how you work
- Limitless development and exposure - our internal promotions/role changes made up 33% of all recruitment last year
- $1000 individual training budget per year, we love to ‘Level Up’ (it’s one of our core values)!
- Psychologist on staff
- Insightful fireside chats and workshops to help support our high-performing and ambitious team
- Radical Candor is a feedback approach we live by
- We’re a global player with 28 markets (and growing) across the globe. Most roles have the option to work from one of our many offices or remotely!
