Duties
The appointee will assist the project leader in the project - "Strategic advancement and global engagement project for PolyU School of Optometry". He/She will be required to:
(a) formulate and implement strategic plans and initiatives to publicise and internationalise the academic programmes, research and innovation, public/community service of the School, with the aim of strengthening PolyU Optometry's brand locally and globally;
(b) support senior management of the School in strategic planning and organisation of events and stakeholder engagement activities;
(c) build and foster a strong and effective relationship between the School and other internal/external stakeholders in Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland and overseas on all matters;
(d) keep abreast of important policies and development related to higher education and affairs of the Optometry profession, with the aim of advancing the profession;
(e) oversee the production and quality control of office outgoing documents and publications such as School reports, proposals, newsletters and multimedia materials;
(f) provide effective administrative/secretarial support to meetings and committees; and
(g) perform any other duties as assigned by the Head of School or his/her delegates.
Qualifications
Applicants should:
(a) have a master's degree or a good honours degree with three or more years of relevant work experience;
(b) have an excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, with fluency in Putonghua
(c) possess effective interpersonal and communication skills for engaging internal and external stakeholders at different levels and backgrounds;
(d) be creative and have an analytical mindset to innovate ideas or campaigns to drive brand visibility;
(e) demonstrate strong copywriting and editorial skills and high proficiency in the creation of both verbally and visually engaging brand materials, reports and presentations; and
(f) have excellent team spirit and a proactive working attitude.
Preference will be given to those with relevant work experience gained in higher education institutions.

The appointee will assist the project leader in the research project - "The COMAC-PolyU research institute for large aircraft (RILA)". He/she will be required to:
(a) provide general support to the daily operation of the Research Institute, including but not limited to procurement of office supplies, handling correspondence, and maintaining office equipment;
(b) assist in comprehensive administrative support to the research project team, including coordinating meetings or visits, preparing meeting documents, and maintaining filing records;
