Responsibilities
- Manage daily operational activities of Credit Card Settlement, ATM Settlement, Time Deposit, Faster Payment System (FPS) and Autopay Operations.
- Formulate strategic plans for the section to meet with service and operational goals set by the management
- Monitor and review the set up, maintenance and updates of the processing systems and operating procedures of the section
- Implement operations policies and procedures of the section to ensure they are carried out in proper manner and are strictly followed by branches and the staff in the section
- Assist Department Head to handle personnel functions including hiring and training to ensure the smooth running of the Department
- Co-ordinate with Transaction Processing Centre Head to maintain a good operational control and branch activities
- Work with Retail Banking Product Team to advise on new products operational design
- Provide operations support to AML Compliance Officer on AML activities and new account opening
- University graduate or equivalent academic achievement
- At least 8-10 years corporate banking experience of which 6-8 years are in operations management position
- In-depth knowledge of corporate banking products/ services and their operational activities
- Knowledge of the regulations and procedures of Hong Kong Interbank Clearing Ltd (HKICL) and CCASS from the Hong Kong Security Clearing Co (HKSCC)
- Strong leadership and decision making skills
- Excellent managerial and planning skills
- Initiative, systematic, active and energetic
- Good communication skills and fluent in both spoken and written Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and English

Your role is crucial in supporting the development of new products and operating models, while ensuring compliance with market and regulatory changes.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the Investment Book of Record to ensure any securities, derivatives and cash position discrepancies are identified and escalated to the Portfolio Managers in a timely manner
- Collaborate with various stakeholders (portfolio managers, trading desk, business management, compliance, controls, risk, client service, operations, internal and external service providers) to design and drive comprehensive solutions that meet business requirements
- Partner with Client Onboarding Management teams to set up new products and design new operating models
- Oversee offshored and outsourced activity whilst ensuring performance and service levels are met
- Keep informed of market and regulatory changes impacting the businesses and ensure processes/controls are in place to support changes
- Manage projects and initiatives, such as process improvement, business model changes, system implementation, new product or new market initiatives rollouts, and other ad hoc projects
- Ensure that a highly robust first line control framework is put in place to avoid and mitigate trading and settlement risks
- At least Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, or related disciplines
- At least of 5 years of relevant experience in Middle Office and/or Investment Operations related roles
- Exceptional expertise in the investment market and familiarity of cross asset expertise in the Derivatives market, with a strong understanding of the evolving market structure and regulatory environment
- Solid derivatives product knowledge of equity and fixed income related derivatives, including but not limited to Options, Forward, IRS, CDX, CDS, CFD
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with good command of written and spoken English
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and hybrid environment, a “can do” attitude and the willingness to learn new applications in an ever-changing environment
- A strong team player, passionate, detail-minded and keen to develop career in asset management industry
- Prior experience in Asset Management firm will be beneficial
- Fluency in Mandarin is an advantage
- Hold Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) is an advantage
