About The Role

Position Objective: Leading the Technology, Digital and Analytics (TDA) Operations Platform teams with world-class technology to support our Operations business, focusing on the Buy, Service, Claims and Contact Center transformation or modernization. This role covers business stakeholder management, business transformation, end-to-end technology solution design & delivery involving GenAI, and offshore team management in an agile environment. Candidates must be proactive, self-motivated and passionate with relevant business and technology experience to transform Operations business.

Accountable for success in technology solutioning and delivery as well as BAU support with defined KPIs. It includes but not limited to new initiatives, existing application modernization and maintaining system stability & performance.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Act as the Technology SME and trusted partner for Operations on technology solutioning, engineering and delivery management to enable business transformations.
  • Strong execution and leadership in delivering technology solutions at speed. Able to work with ambiguities, crystalize and realize them in technology solutions under an evolving and agile environment.
  • Understand the industry trends and Operations business in depth with experience in Buy, Service, Claims and Contact Center processes in insurance Operations. Define the roadmap of the Operations Platform solutions and continuously improve and evolve our technical foundation and features towards the target state.
  • Able to identify strategic, innovative and sustainable technology solutions in addressing business challenges proactively. Able to understand and translate complex requirements into technology solution and business outcome.
  • Able to articulate complex technologies with storytelling using simple language. Build trusted relationship with business stakeholders and manage their expectation.
  • Lead and manage teams to support mission critical BAU applications for Operations and meeting the KPIs and SLAs. Manage the availability and performance of Operations Platforms to achieve defined KPIs and deliver necessary analytics and monitoring dashboard for management.
  • Collaborate with different TDA enabling functions including Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, Process & Control, Technology Risk, etc. to deliver robust and programmatic TDA solutions for business.
  • Ensure all technology deliverables are sustainable and maintained in high standard and comply with AIA Security and other standards.


Job Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor degree preferably with Master degree in Computer Science / Engineering or Data Science.
  • 8+ years experience in large IT organizations, with 3+ years acting at the capacity of Technology / Delivery Lead with proven track records in Mainland China Top Insurers.
  • Demonstrated experience in insurance Operations transformations covering Buy, Service, Claims and Contact Center areas.
  • Proven experience in using popular GenAI technologies (e.g. AOAI, Deepseek, Manus AI, Gemini) for insurance transformation initiatives.
  • Proven experience in managing offshore delivery centers for strategic transformations.
  • LOMA certification is highly preferred.
  • IT certifications including but not limited to (Gen)AI, TOGAF, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, etc. are preferred.
  • Excellent communications, presentation and consulting skills.
  • Excelling planning and execution ability at speed.
  • Self-motivated, passionate and proactive to identify and deliver business and technology innovation opportunities. Able to lead and work independently.
  • Excellent problem solving skills and decision making ability based on data insight.
  • Strong technical knowledge and experience in delivering advanced technologies like GenAI IT for large projects.
  • Fluent in both oral and written communications using Mandarin, Cantonese and English.

About The Role

Support Associate Director, Corporate Compliance to ensure that AIAHK & Macau operates in accordance with the Group Policies and guidelines and local regulatory requirements in the following Subject Matter Expert (SME) areas and towards this end, driving and overseeing implementation of compliance framework in these areas:

  • Regulatory Compliance framework/ program
  • FATCA, CRS, outsourcing, anti-corruption and code of conduct
  • Compliance incidents management and reporting
  • Other assigned tasks


Roles And Responsibilities

  • Regulatory Compliance Framework, including policies/guidelines implementation and Second Line of Defense Monitoring (25%)


Effective implementation of regulatory compliance framework to ensure all relevant regulatory developments are properly identified and addressed by relevant parties, and assists direct manager to design and implement Compliance Policies and Guidelines (including but not limit to Group FATCA Compliance Program and local CRS compliance program) to business units and performs risk-based monitoring program in order to ensure existing and new regulatory requirements are complied with.

  • Design and manage an effective regulatory compliance framework, including timely tracking and reporting of regulatory developments and potential developments.
  • Continue enhancing the protocols of maintenance of the Regulatory Database. Support reporting on regulatory development.
  • Supports direct manager to implement Compliance Policies and Guidelines, including perform gap analysis and provide training to business units.
  • Designs and implements risk-based compliance monitoring programs for identification of deficiencies and to test adherence to the Compliance Policies and Guidelines.
  • Assess the Conflict of Interest Declaration and Gift and Entertainment submission to ensure Code of Conduct requirements are complied.
  • Regulatory Compliance Program (35%)


Effective implementation of compliance policies and related procedures to address key compliance risks identified.

  • Effective implementation of FATCA and CRS (Common Reporting Standard).
  • Implement effective compliance program for changes in laws and regulations under assigned SME areas impacting AIAHK and AIA Macau.
  • Incident Management and Compliance Reporting (20%)


Assists In The Investigation, Analysis And Reporting Of Compliance Incidents In Areas Acting As The SME To Ensure Regulatory Breaches Or Significant Compliance Matters Are Properly Dealt With. Key Activities Include

  • Investigates and analyzes nature of incidents, including identification of root causes and remedial actions.
  • Reports compliance incidents and material matters in accordance with applicable internal reporting protocols and monitors implementation of remedial actions by responsible business processes owners.
  • Identifies risks and updates assessment on compliance risks, controls and actions for areas acting as the SME in the Risk and Control Assessment (RCA) System.
  • Co-ordinates with internal stakeholders to support the monthly and quarterly reporting of compliance-related matters
  • Engagement with Business Units and Compliance Advisory (10%)


Responsibilities

Engages with business units to provide advice and solutions to manage compliance and regulatory risks in areas acting as SME in order to support quality business growth. Key responsibilities and activities include:

  • Provides compliance risk assessment regarding their business initiatives and proposes viable business solutions
  • Raises awareness of the business units concerning the three-line of defense risk management model
  • Identifies issues and concerns for discussion and provide recommendations
  • Contribution to Department and Cross Team Support (10%)
  • Views beyond own work and applies cross-functional knowledge when making decisions. Maintains positive relationships with a network of diverse contacts
  • Support departmental initiatives, including but not limited to accurate and appropriate compliance risk reporting and input on compliance communication/ awareness activities and plan/deliver relevant compliance training.
  • Manages multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines, including planning and coordinating projects from inception to delivery, tracking work and setting schedules, managing resources and risks, and aligning project goals with business objectives and communicating progress to stakeholders.


Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or Business with a minimum of 10 years solid working experience in the financial services industry focused on compliance, risk management, legal and/ or internal controls
  • Professional qualification in life insurance, Compliance, Internal Audit or related disciplines is preferred
  • In-depth understanding of insurance business is preferred
  • Proficient in use of data mining and analysis tool is an advantage
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and self-motivated.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English and Chinese.
  • Independent and be able to work under pressure
  • Be organized, detail-oriented and with good problem solving skills
  • High level of integrity and take ownership and accountability of results

About The Role

The candidate will be a passionate and forward-thinking GenAI Data Scientist to support company’s key business initiatives and projects. S/he will be responsible for curating and developing technical capabilities for the Data Science Team, from gatekeeping the choice of technologies to the implementation of technical solutions.

The right person for this role will be someone who has experience in driving scalable technical solutions in data and AI projects. We expect the candidate to be open-minded, have good interpersonal skills, supportive of the development of the team and can drive business objectives through collaboration. We expect the candidate to be a hands-on thought leader, capable of both high-level strategic thinking as well as hands on ability to execute.

Roles And Responsibilities

Functional Duties (80%)

  • Design and implement data and AI models to support use cases for various business functions.
  • Promote re-use and cross business function awareness of best practices, challenges, etc.
  • Build and launch excellent productionalized, low-maintenance models and AI solutions.
  • Explore and leverage state of the art AI/ML techniques for a variety of problems at the intersection of AI/ML.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance AI/ML solutions that are highly usable, scalable, secure, and able to be utilized in high volume distributed data.
  • Partner with architecture team, application teams and data analytics platform team to streamline our systems architecture, tech stack, and internal framework to support a central analytics function.
  • Lead efforts to select and implement the AI and analytics technologies required to support AIA HK business initiatives.
  • Drive technology investments that utilize AI and analytics as strategic tool.
  • Define the most important growth metrics that track the business’s performance across different functions and utilize those to affect change.
  • Partner with stakeholders within the organization to identify and execute on analytical needs/gaps.
  • Experience developing and deploying AI/ML solutions in a public cloud such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Promote and educate responsible use of AI to all stakeholders in the organization


People Management Duties (20%)

  • Direct activities of a team of data scientist and analysts, and project team members.
  • Identify, train and develop potential data scientists.
  • Implement staff management activities to align with company directive.


Job Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, at least 1 year in GenAI
  • Excellent analytical capability and understanding of various AI and analytical techniques
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, Azure Cloud (or other cloud providers), secure provisioning on AOAI, API servicing (Docker, Kubernetes), big data open-source solutions such as Spark
  • Knowledge and experience of Software Development best practices (CI/CD pipelines, version control, etc)
  • Demonstrated skill, comfort, and success in leading teams to deliver on AI and analytics projects.
  • A track record of using quantitative analysis to inform commercialization decisions and product roadmaps.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, analytical skills and ability to link strategies to business priorities and initiatives.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in a dynamic high-growth environment with aggressive timelines.
  • Ability to proactively identify gap and address AI and data analytics related issues
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new business domains and technologies.
  • Ability to conceptualize and articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Hands-on experience with modern enterprise data architecture and data science toolkits.

About The Role

Successful candidates will join product development team bases in Hong Kong and participate in development of optical subassembly for high-speed fiber-optic transceiver.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overall photonics sub-assembly design.
  • Perform detailed optical system design, optimization and tolerance analysis.
  • Prototyping, testing and validation of design concepts.

Qualifications

  • Preferably Master or PhD in physics or engineering disciplines degree holder with research experience in optics.

Required Skills

  • R&D experience in micro-optics and photonics integrated circuits, e.g. silicon photonics.
  • Proficient in optical simulation using commercial optical simulation software, e.g., Zemax, is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for direct interaction with customers and vendors.
  • Ability to work independently and tackle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Initiative-taking, creative, innovative and responsible.

You will involve in the design stages, and responsible for the proper and timely execution in accordance with the control estimate and specific requirements of the project.

Key Responsibilities Include -

  • Support the Structural Team in delivering design drawings and supporting calculation reports for both government and private projects.
  • Support the team in supervising construction works for both government and private projects.
  • Manage the Project and deliverables (design and tender drawings packages etc.)
  • Assist the Project Director in monitoring the project progress and apply mitigation measures when necessary
  • Undertake technical project work involving design, drawings, specifications and reports
  • Work closely with discipline team members, including mentoring and guidance to other engineers in the team
  • Work closely with clients & project team members, including attendance at meetings & workshops

Here's what you'll need

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Structural, Civil Engineering or related disciplines.
  • HKIE (STL) Member with 7+ years of experience in design. More experienced in structural design may be considered as Technical Director.
  • Proven working experience in structural engineering design for projects.

Microsoft Research Asia (MSRA) is now extending its footprint into Hongkong and looking for **a Senior Researcher specializing in AI with a strong focus on Multimedia and Vision, Immersive & Embodied AI, Multimodal Foundation Models, and related fields.** This is an exceptional opportunity to drive an ambitious research agenda while collaborating with diverse teams to push for novel applications of those research areas.
**Responsibilities**
+ As an accomplished expert in a broad research area (e.g., Multimedia and Vision, AI and Machine Learning, NLP and Foundation Model) has a comprehensive understanding of the relevant literature, research methods, and business and academic context.
+ Leads a joint research effort (possibly involving multiple teams/universities inside and outside of Microsoft) to pursue a long-term research agenda which is in line with MSRA strategy.
+ Fosters cooperative relationships with academic communities, industry partners, and business groups within Microsoft to establish MSRA presence locally and support future growth.
+ Creates synergy among MSRA research groups in multiple locations to enable collaboration and creativity.
**Qualifications**
+ Doctorate in relevant field AND 1+ year(s) related research experience OR equivalent experience.
+ Experience publishing academic papers as a lead author or essential contributor.
+ Experience developing core AI algorithms and solutions in the fields including but not limited to multimedia, vision, immersive AI, embodied AI, HCI, and multimodal foundation models.
+ Deep knowledge about the latest large foundation models, agentic AI system, and their applications
+ Strong communication skills to engage with various collaborators both externally and internally
