In the position of FSE band 4, you will be responsible for delivering and building service excellence beyond our customers' expectations. Your expertise will ensure that our customers can rely on their equipment to achieve their scientific goals flawlessly.

What is the scope

  • Represent our company in a positive, professional manner in all dealings with Thermo Fisher Scientific customers, both external and internal.
  • Own and fulfill service commitments and conduct installations, calibrations, preventative maintenance, training, and repairs.
  • Provide services, remote or on-site, within agreed conditions, and set the right priorities.
  • Handle service reporting, documentation, and creation of procedures/protocols for internal and customer needs.
  • Maintain a high level of customer allegiance by building strong customer relationships and promoting an excellent customer experience.
  • Partner with our commercial colleagues to deliver customer deals that can be implemented profitably and meet/exceed customer expectations.
  • Optimize and ensure the accuracy of provided tools and consignment parts.
  • Engage in continuous improvement through our Practical Process Improvement Business System.
  • Support centrifuge products, including New Product Introduction (NPI), essential parts planning, document creation, knowledge sharing, and managing Technical Service Bulletins (TSB) and product updates.
  • Serve as the primary contact point for communication with the factory and collaborate with teams to improve product performance and customer happiness.

How to get here

Education

  • High Diploma or equivalent experience in Engineering or other related fields.

Experience

  • 3 years or more of relevant work experience.
  • Candidates with less experience or fresh graduates with a positive and willing-to-learn attitude will also be considered.

Knowledge

  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and oral in Chinese and English. Mandarin is an advantage.

Skills

  • Ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues in difficult and stressful situations.
  • Great teammate with a strong desire to succeed and a standout colleague.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills related to technical approaches, work performed, test results, and findings.

Abilities

**Who will you be working with?**
You will be working with our maintenance team who are expertise to ensure on-site work are performed safely, on time, within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer.

As a member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible to provide technical and operational solution, including but not limited to technician training, provide expertise on day to day repair and maintenance to technician, deliver sounded technical answer to MTRC enquiries.
**What will your typical day look like?**
+ Assist Field Service and Operations Manager in overseeing service team.
+ Provide technical and operational solution to Field Service and Operations Manager for day-to-day task.
+ Liaise with customers, group sister companies (OE) for logistic & technical support.
+ Assist management for managerial work.
+ Manpower planning for performing field service works.
+ Prepare progress / field services reports.
+ Complete ad hoc assignments from Field Service and Operations Manager.
+ Any other duties as assigned by the manager.
**What do we want to know about you?**
+ Degree holder in E&M Engineering or other discipline. High diploma with sound experience / knowledge will also be considered.
+ 3-5 years of relevant working experience, experience in rolling stock or related industries is a definite advantage. Software background is preferred.
+ Previous customer service / customer relation experience with be an advantage
+ Written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin is a MUST.
+ Holder of Hong Kong Driver License class 1 and 2 is an advantage.
+ Sound communication and interpersonal skills, able to deal with all levels of personnel.
+ Proven experience in staff supervision is an advantage.
+ Able to pick up different product lines knowledge & transfer to service team member.
+ Good team player, responsible, diplomatic, proactive and able to work independently under minimal supervision.
+ Experience in Occupational Health and Safety and ISO standard is a definite advantage.

  • Knowledgeable on industrial communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus and IEC 61850) is preferable
  • Strong knowledge in Control and Automation Systems and SHEQ system implementation
  • Excellent communications skills and a team player
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Well-versed in MS Office applications and AutoCad
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Willing to develop technical competence in Substation RTU and automation
  • Candidate with less experience and qualifications will be considered as Assistant Services Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Service Training (Operation, Administration and Maintenance) to Customers as required
  • Define overall training framework plan, procedures and workflows for project activities
  • Define, set up and manage Training platforms/simulators/equipment & tools
  • Manage and update those associate Technical Training Service Documents such as WI, Procedures, workflow, Manual …etc
  • Support service and coordination with internal and external stakeholders during project DLP (Defects Liability Period)
  • Maintenance support for the hardware and software bugs analysis and resolution
  • Software and hardware problem investigation for the DLP (Defects Liability Period) projects
  • Analyze the log and information collected from the site, provide short-term and long term recovery proposal
  • Coordinate with Engineering team to Investigate major failures or design defects in DLP (Defects Liability Period) and provide all necessary corrective actions
  • Coordinate with suppliers for faulty module return and factory repair or improvement actions

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical Engineering or relevant disciplines.
  • 3+ years of working experience in the Engineering field
  • Documents experience
  • Proven On-site service support / maintenance knowledge
  • Knowledge of Windows Servers, Linux OS and Networking implementation are an advantage
  • Well coordination and planning for working with various parties and subcontractors
  • Strong Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in Training Delivery for Customer would be an added advantage
  • Good command of both spoken and written English
  • Fresh graduates are welcome

Desirable

  • Experience in hardware mechanical/electronic field
  • Knowledge on Automatic Fare Collection maintenance
  • Experience in Quality Control Manufacturing
