Finance & Human Resource Officer at MI-GSO | PCUBEDAbout the Role
This is a trade floor application support role that requires the candidate to investigate and resolve user, system & infrastructure generated issues across the Prime Services Production systems in a timely manner. You will be working closely with the regional and global teams across business, product, project management and technology teams. The candidate will also be expected to contribute to projects based on the core production management work streams such as stability programs e.g. Automation, Application Resilience etc.
Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence:
- Maintain operational stability for front office business applications by managing daily tasks and ensuring a stable environment.
- Enhance platform performance by spearheading initiatives to improve monitoring, stability, resiliency, and capacity for Prime Services systems in the APAC region.
- Continuously enhance the main monitoring tool and support the automation of repetitive tasks.
- Perform morning and weekend checks with global teams to ensure system readiness.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, including the head of the trading desk and technology managers.
- Service Implementation and Management:
- Participate in the rollout and management of new services.
- Plan, review, and execute change releases into the production environment, working with various teams to minimize incidents.
- Act as the initial point of contact for incident management queries and escalations.
- Lead major incidents, facilitate bridge calls, coordinate investigations, and manage internal communications.
- Produce and manage post-incident reviews, chair review meetings, and assign action/task tickets to remediate problems.
- Update the wiki post-incident to document known errors and workarounds for the support team.
- Work with global counterparts to address issues collectively and operate in a 'follow the sun' model to resolve issues globally.
- Coordinate and participate in annual disaster recovery drills.
- Collaborate with team members on shifts and provide on-call coverage as needed.
Qualifications
- University qualification with IT Major
- Minimum 5+ years working experience in Investment Banking application Support or Securities Trading industry with relevant exposure to development and support.

- Ability to work across countries, regions, and time zones with diverse cultures and technical capabilities.
- Understanding of how to navigate processes and build networks in large organizations.

For this position, we are looking for an Application Support Engineer who can assist one of our clients - a leading investment bank.
Responsibilities:
The role involves mix of production support (70%) and business analysis (20-30%). In this capacity, you will be required to do functional and technical analysis of business needs, support internal clients, troubleshoot, and diagnose functional and technical issues in the production environment.
- Conduct functional and technical support on Research Website, CRM, Research workflow & distribution system
- Work closely with vendor and global development & application support teams to ensure smooth delivery of functional and technical requirement
- Conduct system Quality Assurance Testing and assist in User Acceptance Test. Perform production deployment and system upgrade
- Analyze business requirement and provide support & solution
- Assist in project rollout and communicate timelines to business stakeholders.
- Management and tracking of daily production problems and user requests, ensure effective and timely resolution and communications to the client. Regular interaction with business users, development teams, infrastructure teams on system related issues and enhancement requests.
- Maintain high availability of systems by continuously monitoring operation and performance.
- Coordinate with IT Security and Infrastructure team to build and maintain the platform
- Follow ITIL Application Support methodology to carry out incident and system change management procedures.
- Participate in support roster. Shift duty, weekend and holiday work as per requirements
Competencies Required:
- Degree in IT/Computer Science with minimum 5 years of experience in Application Support
- Experience in web-based application, web analytics and data security
- Hands on experience on SQL
- Hands on experiences on Excel / VBA and Java
- Hands on experiences on Linux and Windows OS
- Good command of both English and Mandarin (must)
- Process automation with Python and Shell scripting (not a must, but a plus)
- Exposure to system monitoring tools like Dynatrace and Geneos

We are seeking a strong Application Support in Hong Kong to join and support our client's Prime Services Production Support team, providing global application support in a fast-paced, trade floor environment. This role involves close collaboration with front office, developers, business analysts, and infrastructure teams.
Responsibilities
- Operational Excellence: Ensure stability of front-office applications by handling daily operations, enhancing monitoring tools, automating tasks, and conducting system checks with global teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with trading desk heads and technology managers to align on priorities and solutions.
- Service Implementation: Support rollout and maintenance of new services; plan and execute production changes to minimize risks.
- Incident Management: Serve as first contact for incidents, lead resolution efforts, manage communications, conduct reviews, and document known issues and workarounds.
- Global Collaboration: Coordinate with global teams under a 'follow the sun' model, participate in disaster recovery drills, and support on-call rotation.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in investment banking applications
- Experienced with Java, Kafka, Python, and Kubernetes
- Strong knowledge of ITIL Service Management
- Proficient in SQL and Shell scripting
- Hands-on with UNIX/Linux and Windows platforms
- Familiar with Autosys, ITRS Geneos, and Dynatrace
- Knowledge of Agile methodology
