Overview
The Tung Wah Group of Hospitals is the largest charitable organization in Hong Kong. We offer medical and health, education, community, historical and cultural heritage preservation, and traditional services with over 360 service centres across Hong Kong. Location: Sheung Wan.
Responsibilities- Plan, execute and develop the set-up of the new special schools and boarding section.
- Coordinate administrative matters such as school registration, establishment of the School Incorporated Management Committee (IMC), staff recruitment and curriculum design.
- Plan and execute the advance opening in the vacant premises.
- Coordinate overall building construction, alteration, renovation and procurement of furniture and equipment.
- Manage the budget, control and conduct regular reviews on financial activities to finance the top-up items and ensure full compliance with TWGHs policies and Education Bureau guidelines.
- Liase and network with internal and external parties to facilitate the Establishment Project.
- Handle alteration and contingency planning related to the Establishment Project.
- Perform any duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
- A recognized degree or equivalent, preferably postgraduate degree in Business Administration/Education or postgraduate diploma in Education.
- At least Grade D in English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language in HKCEE or equivalent.
- At least 6 years, preferably 8 years, of post-qualification education administrative experience or related field.
- Preferably experience in planning and project management.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua).
- Please specify in the application form the HKCEE result and relevant working experience in detail.
The successful candidate will be appointed on contract terms with a remuneration package commensurate with background and experience. Continuation of employment and terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Benefits include MPF contributions, paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work a 5-day week, subject to operational needs.

Responsibilities- Contribute to the growth and development of the Department that plays a central role in intervention programs, assessment and measurement, neuroscience in special/inclusive education, connection with innovative technology, and counselling professions related to school settings.
- Pursue rigorous and cutting-edge research and development projects in relevant areas.
- Collaborate with different stakeholders to help and support children with diverse needs.
- Contribute to teaching and supervision activities in related areas in line with the University’s strategic development.
- Doctoral degree in related areas and a track record of research and teaching.
- Several years of teaching or working with students with special educational needs (SEN) in special schools, NGOs, or other professional settings is preferable.
- Evidence of plans for future development and the capacity to build good working relationships with schools and helping professionals.
- Bilingual competency in English and Chinese and an appreciation of the challenges of working in a multicultural context will be advantageous.
