WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Engage potential customers from multiple industries and convert them into SHOPLINE users
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the market, focusing on acquiring and converting new prospects
  • Manage the full sales cycle — from prospecting and pitching to negotiation and closing deals
  • Maintain and report business development pipelines and progress to management
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth merchant onboarding experience

Services within Mastercard is responsible for acquiring, engaging, and retaining customers by managing fraud and risk, enhancing cybersecurity, and improving the digital payments experience. We provide value-added services and leverage expertise, data-driven insights, and execution. Our Advisors & Consulting Services team combines traditional management consulting with Mastercard’s rich data assets, proprietary platforms, and technologies to provide clients with powerful strategic insights and recommendations. Our teams work with a diverse global customer base across industries, from banking and payments to retail and restaurants.

The Advisors & Consulting Services group has five specializations: Strategy & Transformation, Performance Analytics, Business Experimentation, Marketing, and Program Management. Our Program Management consultants lead clients through business transformations by implementing strategically important Mastercard assets and services to bring value and drive growth. They serve as the Center of Engagement across all stakeholders within Mastercard and the client’s organization.

You will manage multiple projects within a portfolio, providing efficient and effective coordination of a complex range of activities by clearly defining project team and stakeholder roles and responsibilities that are aligned with the delivery of the expected benefits.   • Manage deliverable development and workstreams on multiple large, complex high-value projects across a range of industries, problem statements, and cultures
  • Utilize proven, accredited project and change management methodologies and techniques to help clients drive measurable value
  • Define scope, timelines, and budget and perform cost, benefit, and risk analyses
  • Report on issues, risks, progress, and timelines and summarize effectively, offering analysis, options, and credible solutions
  • Manage working relationship with client managers, and act as trusted and reliable partner


Team Collaboration & Culture

  • Develop sound business recommendations and deliver effective client presentations
  • Plan, organize, and structure own work and that of junior project team members to address client problems
  • Lead team and external meetings, and lead or co-lead project management
  • Contribute to the firm's intellectual capital and solution development, being a strong brand ambassador for Mastercard and Data & Services
  • Grow from coaching to enable ownership of day-to-day project management across client projects, and mentor junior team members


Qualifications

Basic qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with work experience in project management and change management methodologies and techniques
  • 4-6 years of Project Management experience
  • Exposure to financial institutions, payments, and/or consultancies
  • Experience managing clients or internal stakeholders
  • Logical, structured thinking
  • Advanced Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks with multiple clients in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English and the local office language (if applicable)
  • Eligibility to work in the country where you are applying, as well as apply for travel visas as required by travel needs


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience developing and implementing solutions and measuring impact on clients' business
  • Experience coaching junior consultants
  • Have completed or interested in pursuing recognized professional accreditation, such as Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Knowledge of Project Management tools
  • Exposure to payments and/or retail banking or merchants
  • MBA or master’s degree with relevant specialization (not required)

Responsibilities

  • Assist project delivery in sustainability engineering such as green building assessment and certification (BEAM Plus, LEED, China Green Building etc.), sustainable design and planning, energy study etc.;
  • Carry out building performance modeling and analysis such as energy, daylight, solar, ventilation, thermal comfort etc.;
  • Prepare technical reports, presentation and other project deliverables;
  • Project team coordination and project meeting attendance;
  • Assist business development activities;
  • Perform other job-related duties as required

Requirements

  • Degree in Built Environment / Building Services Engineering / Energy Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Environmental Engineering. PhD and Master degrees are advantageous;
  • Knowledge with BEAM Plus / LEED is preferred;
  • 2-year relevant experience with sustainable design modeling software is preferred (eQuest, IES, Ecotect, Fluent, Phoenics, etc);
  • Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese is necessary;
  • Self-motivated and hardworking;
  • Candidates with more experience will be considered as Senior Consultant

About the job:

As a Consultant/Senior Consultant, Banking Technology, you will acquire first-hand consulting experience in the banking industry, build knowledge on a wide range of companies, and apply business analysis and project management best practices in a fast-paced and intellectually challenging work environment. You will play a key role in building trusted client relationships through high quality deliverables and leveraging our industry expertise. Responsibilities:

  • Business Analysis on the needs and issues of the client through interviews and workshop
  • Process and design technical and business requirements
  • Parameterise software/systems, including business modules
  • Document the project into systems and processes for management review
  • Close interaction with clients through regular project updates and networking

More experienced candidates will have these additional responsibilities:

  • Independently drive the success of a work stream by directing activities, ensuring high quality deliverables and timely submission
  • Manage a team of consultants by defining meaningful work packages, managing activities, and through mentorship
  • Conduct interviews and workshops with clients to translate their requirements into well formulated solutions
  • Participate in business development activities including topic development, proposal preparation, sales presentations, and contract negotiation

About you:

  • Bachelor in Business, Computing, Engineering or Science
  • 5 years’ experience of technical Business Analysis / experience as a technical Business Analyst within Banking or Fintech
  • Expert experience in Excel and data analysis including modelling and lookups
  • Knowledge of Client Reporting processes is a plus
  • Experience of SQL / Java is a plus
  • Capable of applying technology principles to business
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Highly analytical and structured in problem solving; able to quickly understand complex situations
  • Good presentation and communication skills with clients and colleagues
  • Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and team leadership skills
