Reporting to the General Manager & Head of Corporate Communications of the company, your new role will:
- Develop and execute integrated external communication plans aligned with business objectives
- Enhance engagement with investors, analysts and capital markets stakeholders
- Oversee content production across all channels, ensuring brand consistency and strategic alignment
- Produce high-impact corporate narratives, press materials, thought leadership and social content for diverse audiences
- Develop and implement integrated digital communication strategies aligned with Hongkong Land’s recently launched strategy
- Monitor and optimize communication strategies using data-driven insights and KPIs
- Manage agencies and cultivate relationships with key media and industry influencers
What you'll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
- 12 years in corporate communications or media relations
- 5 years in digital communications and social media management
- Experience in real estate or financial sector preferred
- Financial/Business literacy; understanding of corporate finance and valuation a plus
- Exceptional bilingual (English & Chinese) writing ability
- Proficiency in media monitoring and social listening tools
- Strong understanding of SEO and digital best practices
- Highly collaborative, displaying a positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills for building stakeholder relationships

As Hong Kong Disneyland Resort (HKDL) celebrates two decades of success as a joint venture between The Walt Disney Company and the Hong Kong Government, we are seeking a strategic and visionary Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) Director of External Relations team to lead our external engagement efforts.
This role is pivotal in positioning HKDL as a premier tourism landmark and economic contributor, while cultivating high-impact relationships with government, public bodies, and key stakeholders across political, industry, and business sectors. The successful candidate will drive advocacy, policy influence, and stakeholder engagement to support HKDL’s development and reputation across Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
You will serve as a strategic thought partner to senior leadership, connecting business needs across internal and external stakeholders, and shaping long-term plans that unlock commercial opportunities and foster a business-friendly environment.
Key Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute external relations strategies aligned with HKDL’s business priorities and growth milestones.
- Lead shareholder engagement and governance matters in partnership with Legal and Finance, including but not limited to JV board meetings and project steering committee.
- Anticipate and manage potential or emerging sensitive issues involving government departments, political entities, and NGOs to develop tailored advocacy strategies.
- Collaborate with Media Relations, Finance, Legal, and Segment teams on annual business reviews and economic impact studies to ensure the establishment of an ever-green narrative with clear articulation of HKDL’s value to the community
- Collaborate with the wider CPA teams and other Lines of Business (LOBs) to provide strategic counsel on regulatory, public policy, and political matters.
- Build and maintain relationships with Hong Kong government bureaus, Central Government agents, foreign consular corps, political parties, unions, and business associations.
- Shape regional outreach strategies, especially in the GBA and mainland China, to elevate HKDL’s profile and unlock new opportunities.
- Oversee industry relations through partnerships with The Hong Kong Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (HKAAPA), Lantau Development Alliance (LaDA), and other regional tourism and theme park entities.
- Advise executives on participation in key associations and manage high-level protocols for official visits and exchanges.
- University degree in Communications, Public Affairs, Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10–15 years of experience in Government Relations, Public Administration, Public Affairs, or Communications.
- First-hand experience working with government bodies, public institutions, or political parties; or senior public affairs roles in multinational corporations.
- Strong leadership and a collaborative with a proactive mindset.
- Deep understanding of Hong Kong’s legislative processes, political landscape, and governmental operation
- Proven experience navigating GBA and mainland China networks is highly crucial.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to connect business needs across internal and external stakeholders.
- Skilled in influencing and persuading diverse stakeholders to align with HKDL’s vision and objectives.
- Excellent problem-solving, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and drive progress under pressure.
- Executive presence with the ability to simplify complex ideas and consolidate input from senior leaders.
- Business-savvy integrator who can link external relations strategies to broader business and CPA goals.
- Language proficiency in spoken and written English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required.

·Profound knowledge of multi-stakeholder communications, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently under tight deadlines;
·Excellent planning, organisation, and management skills;
·Proactive, result-oriented, creative and highly self-motivated;
·A team player who can work with colleagues, members and stakeholders; and
·Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese.

- Produce corporate publications and multimedia content, such as annual reports, leaflets, videos, and branding items, managing the entire production process from creative concept to printing and production
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the quality and accuracy of publicity materials
- Raise HKGI’s brand awareness by managing its online publicity channels, including the corporate website and social media platforms, from developing engaging posts and visuals to monitoring performance and impact
- Plan and organise corporate events and visits, ensuring smooth implementation through effective management of budget, schedule, logistics, and post-event follow-ups
- Perform any other duties assigned by senior officers
We are seeking a high-calibre candidate for the post of Manager (Corporate Communications) who possesses:
- A university degree in English and Literature, Language Studies, Communications, Public Relations, Public Administration, or related disciplines
- At least 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably gained in sizable public organisations
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with solid skills in bilingual copywriting and development of impactful corporate stories
- Proven experience in design and production of corporate publications, such as annual reports, newsletters, and videos
- Professional knowledge and experience in managing corporate website and LinkedIn, including applications of SEO and CMS tools; experience in website revamp is an advantage
- Proven track record in planning and organising events and publicity campaigns targeting diverse stakeholders, including the general public and professionals
- Strategic thinking and attention to detail
- A proactive, self-driven attitude with the ability to work independently in a dynamic setting
- Strong presentation and communication skills, resourcefulness, and ability to multi-task
Remuneration
Successful candidate will be offered attractive remuneration and be appointed on an initial two-year contract (subject to mutual agreement for contract renewal).

About The Role
- Oversee the company’s corporate communication function for thought leadership building, corporate and business promotion and reputation management
- Help AIA sustain #1 brand awareness and consideration with distant leadership.
- Act as a key person to strategise communications assets to maximise business and brand benefits.
Developing and Implementing Communication Strategies:
- This includes creating and executing comprehensive communication plans to support the company's goals and objectives.
- Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in corporate communications.
- Ensuring that all communication activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical guidelines.
- Managing relationships with key media contacts, industry influencers, and stakeholders, and handling media inquiries and interviews.
- Developing and implementing communication plans for crises, issues, and emergencies, and ensuring the timely and effective communication of information to stakeholders.
- Maintaining a consistent brand image and voice across corporate communications, ensuring alignment with the company's values and mission.
- Analyzing media coverage and communication efforts to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and making recommendations for strategy adjustments.
- Leading and coaching the corporate communication team, managing communication agency partners, and allocating resources effectively
- Support the Customer and Marketing Function in projects as required
- University degree holder or above, preferably in journalism, communications, PR & marketing discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in corporate communications and/or public and media relations. Experience in insurance industry is an advantage.
- Proven track record in leading communications and reputation management
- Demonstrate curiosity and eagerness to keep abreast of the latest market trends
- Excellent time management and project management skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with internal and external stockholders.
- You are required to obtain relevant license if your job involves in regulated activities

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Communications, the incumbent will perform the following responsibilities to enhance HKGI’s brand awareness and foster public understanding of genomic medicine by planning and implementing a wide range of publicity initiatives.
