Christian Alliance International School (CAIS) invites outstanding and passionate Christian educators to join our team in raising the next generation of students to influence society for the good of people and to the glory of God. The successful applicant will have curriculum expertise and strong pedagogical practice to achieve outstanding learning outcomes for our students within an authentic Christian environment.
Duties and Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with other teachers in the team to plan and deliver an effective instructional program aligned with well-defined curricular and school goals.
- Bachelor Degree in Education, or Bachelor Degree in relevant major subject(s), preferably in Mathematics, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Education or equivalent teaching credential with at least 10 weeks’ practicum required.
- Teacher education/ training accepted by Alberta Education.
- Prior experience in teaching Mathematics and/or relevant major subject(s) in high schools preferred.
- High level of English proficiency in spoken and written English required.
- While not essential, please state any IB Diploma experience.
- An understanding of the Christian faith, the School’s vision, mission and values.
- Candidate embracing the values of Christian education preferred.
The starting date for this appointment is mid-August 2025. Initial contract is normally 2 years in duration. Renewable 2-year contracts are offered subject to mutual agreement.

Job Responsibilities:
- To provide individual and small group lessons to students preparing to take the IB, GCSE, GCE A-level, SAT, ACT and AP Exams.
- To mark and evaluate students’ performance and devise study plans to motivate and assist students in their studies.
- To create content for study guides and workbooks.
- To prepare notes and lesson plans for courses.
- To develop notes, handouts, exercises and assessments for students.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.
- An academic background in relative subjects.
- IB, GCE, HKAL, SAT or an equivalent examination.
- To be enthusiastic and dynamic.
- To have excellent communication skills.
- Proficient in native Mandarin, English and Cantonese speakers will be considered first
- A previous teaching experience is a definite asset.
- A previous experience in taking the SAT/ACT/AP/IB/GCE/GCSE exams is a definite asset.
- Very competitive salary (HKD20,000 - HKD45,000) subject to experience

Position Overview
- Plan and deliver engaging science lessons in physics, biology, or chemistry aligned with the IB curriculum.
- Assess student progress and foster a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and participate in professional development.
- Contribute to the school community and extracurricular activities.
- Strong knowledge of physics, biology, or chemistry concepts within the IB MYP or DP.
- Ability to plan, deliver, and assess effective science lessons using inquiry-based learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Proficient in integrating technology into teaching and learning experiences.
- Experience with the IB curriculum and assessment practices preferred.
- Willingness to adapt to the evolving needs of the IB programme and school environment.
- Genuine enthusiasm for science and commitment to fostering a love of learning in students.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a Bachelor’s degree in any subject with a Postgraduate

- Newly qualified teachers or teaching experience within a recognised educational institute
