The Office of Student Affairs invites applications for the post of Assistant Student Housing Officer in the Student Accommodation Section, which manages 3,700 on-campus residential places and provides comprehensive residential education in the context of whole-person development to students.

The appointee is expected to provide general administrative, logistical and clerical support for the day-to-day operation of the Student Accommodation Section. Working on shift duties may be required.

Assistant Student Housing Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for daily hostel operations and residential education programmes;
  • Coordinate with the cleaning team for carrying out routine and ad-hoc cleaning services;
  • Conduct regular and ad hoc inspections of hostel facilities;
  • Assist with counter services, system management, and general office duties;
  • Support check-in, check-out, room change arrangements, defect rectification, and room preparation;
  • Liaise with outsourced contractors and other departments on matters related to hostel operations;
  • Handle enquiries, perform data entry, prepare and retrieve reports; and
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • A recognised Diploma or above, preferably with at least three years of work experience;
  • Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese and Putonghua);
  • Proficiency in computer applications, including Excel, and both English and Chinese word processing;
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team;
