Optimize the supply planning

  • Define the replenishment frequencies of our business units warehouse in order to reach the optimum cost for stock and transportation. Size the stock for each warehouse at stock keeping unit level according to local logistic offer & Group supply chain standards

Management of BU SEA & HK logistics activities

  • Improve BUs’ stock management, implement best practices in all locations, ensure customer orders fulfilment with high customer satisfaction, improving BU customer services

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years experience in a supply chain multinational environment within industrial or distribution company

Job Description

Analyze and respond to market trends, supplier dynamics, and industry developments.

Allocate business among qualified suppliers based on product ranges, price ranges, production capability, capacity, and quality performance.

Actively manage and strengthen supplier relationships, establishing mutual understanding and alignment on expectations.

Negotiate and agree with suppliers on costs, payment terms, and delivery lead times.

Partner closely with factory procurement teams on material development and pre-production issues. Assist in liaising with suppliers to resolve issues when required.

Proactively communicate with factory management to understand concerns regarding material supply and address these in the material category strategy.

Drive continuous improvements in the material sourcing process and update the standard material procurement procedures as needed.

Serve as a subject matter expert on materials, advising internal customers on fabric and trims issues, and arranging basic or in-depth material training as needed.

Lead and develop the Material Team, establishing collaborative processes, setting goals, and conducting regular performance and development reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years of work experience in material management within the apparel industry.
  • Experience in supplier management, strategic sourcing, and negotiating supplier agreements.
  • Strong understanding of market trends, supplier capabilities, material quality standards, and procurement processes.
  • Excellent network and relationships with a wide range of mills.
  • Technical knowledge of materials, including fabric and trims, and the manufacturing process.
  • Proven leadership, people management, and team development skills.
  • Strong business communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
