Job Description
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Delivery and execution of the project/s assigned
- Direct interface with owners/clients, landlords, developers, consultants, contractors, vendors, and other service providers
- Overall management of the design process from concept design to construction documentation
- Prepare cost estimation and manage tendering process and contract administration
- Advise procurement strategies, manage the contracts and services for and on behalf of the owners/clients
- Supervision of construction works on-site and coordination of trades
- Preparation, management and ownership of schedule and target
- Ensure that project risks are properly managed and mitigated
- Ensure proper project close-out and handover of projects to clients/owners
- Take ownership of ensuring timely payments from owners/clients
- Other functions to be assigned by the Project Director/Team Head
- University graduate, preferably in Real Estate, Project Management or related discipline
- Formal training in project management / quantity surveying / interior design is preferred
- 5-8 years solid track record and experience in running projects, candidate with less experience will be considered as Assistant Project Manager / Project Coordinator
- Problem solving and analytical ability to generate information that provides sound business decisions.
- Experienced in delivering international quality projects in distant markets using in-house or third party providers is an added value.
- Proven participation in development planning and execution experience, and able to adapt these skills in a fast-paced environment requiring close interaction with clients and colleagues
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken English.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Familiar with design software, e.g. AutoCAD, Adobe Indesign, SketchUp, etc. will be an advantage

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor degree holder in Quantity Surveying discipline or equivalent

+ Corporate Member of Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors or equivalent (minimum 5 years)

As a Graduate in our cost management teams, you’ll work on some of the most iconic projects in the world for industry leaders, driving the commercial agenda to meet our client's expectations. As a cost manager you will be driven to create the best possible commercial outcome for your client. We do this by working as one with the wider client team including designers, architects, engineers, specialist advisors, contractors, and specialist suppliers. In addition to core cost management services our teams also provide strategic delivery and operational advice.
Your career in cost management will create a foundation for success in the future, learning about the key commercial principles, procurement and buying strategies, commercial mechanisms, and contracting arrangements. Graduate Quantity Surveyor
- To assist in cost management commissions: cost estimates, bills of quantities, value engineering, tendering and evaluation, contract knowledge, change orders and final account close-out.
- To estimate and produce cost plans.
- To conduct cost assessments and valuations.
- To prepare cost reports.
- To liaise with the project stakeholders.

The Tung Wah Group of Hospitals is the largest charitable organization in Hong Kong. At present, we offer medical and health, education, community, historical and cultural heritage preservation, and traditional services to the community with over 360 service centres spreading over the territory of Hong Kong.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide support to the Project Manager (Building Surveyor) in the management and supervision of the Group’s maintenance and renovation projects;
- prepare tender documents, schedule of works and drawings for superior’s approval;
- attend site meetings, prepare inspection reports, monthly financial & progress reports and update project progress register, etc.;
- invite quotations for minor repair works and to analyze report and recommend quotations received to superior;
- evaluate the consultants’ and contractors’ performance on the Group’s renovation and maintenance projects; and
- certify and recommend payment for minor works for superior’s approval.
- a recognized degree in Building Surveying or equivalent; and
- at least 2 years’ relevant practical training and/or experience which meets the training requirements for Corporate Membership of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors.
Compensation & Employment Terms
The successful candidate will initially be offered a 3-year contract with a remuneration package which will be commensurate with his/her background and experience. The continuation of employment and employment terms thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement. Apart from contributions to the MPF Scheme, other benefits include paid annual leave, medical services, a dental scheme and training sponsorships. The incumbent will normally work under a 5-day week schedule subject to operational needs and exigencies of the service.
