Job Responsibilities
To support our constant endeavour to position Hong Kong as a world-class smart city and an international hub of innovation and technology, we are seeking qualified professionals to fill the following position(s):

• R&D on 5G/6G radio access network software and intelligent application software, with objectives to commercialize and demonstrate market leading performance

• Design and develop a 5G/6G mobile intelligent system including

• MAC/RRM/SON algorithms

• Mobile intelligent algorithms with remote sensors such as camera and radar
• System level simulation and theoretical analysis, and

• Standard compliance verification

• Develop control and data planes of protocol stack for 5G/6G base stations

• End-to-end system integration, interoperability testing, verifications, performance testing and tuning on 5G/6G base stations
• Work with hardware, software and system engineers and support customers for commercialization

Job Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree holder in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications or relevant disciplines with a minimum of 3 years of related experience. Candidates with less experience may also be considered
• Knowledge of computer networks and protocols; programming knowledge in C/C++, Python or Shell script; and experience in development on Linux are preferred
• Knowledge of 4G/5G standards, system architecture (SA) and procedures, and/or experience on 4G/5G end-to-end testing or field trial are preferred
• Solid knowledge on signal processing, image processing, information theory, numerical analysis, stochastic process and machine learning, and/or experience on ROS, localization and Autonomous Guided Vehicle (AGV) control system is a plus
• Proficiency in written and spoken English, Cantonese and Putonghua

1. Cloud Architecture & Governance

2. Architect secure, cost-optimized solutions spanning public clouds (Azure/AWS/GCP/AliCloud) and private clouds (Huawei HCS/VMware)

3. Establish cloud governance frameworks: Resource tagging, compliance baselines, and cost controls; and design disaster recovery for critical workloads across hybrid environments

4. Compliance & Critical Systems

5. Develop systems enabling critical vulnerability fixes within 7 days

6. Maintain CMDB as authoritative source for all cloud/hybrid assets

7. Implement observability frameworks (Splunk/Grafana) for threat detection

8. DevOps Team Leadership to manage 2 DevOps Engineers (1 Senior, 1 Mid-Level), set objectives and review deliverables for:

- CI/CD Pipeline Excellence: design or maintain Jenkins/GitLab pipelines for rapid deployments, optimize deployment processes to reduce downtime

- Cloud Infrastructure Automation: Provision/manage resources via IaC (Terraform/Ansible) , scale cloud infrastructure for high-availability systems

- Security & Compliance Execution: embed vulnerability management into CI/CD pipelines, generate compliance evidence (patch reports, config snapshots)

- Observability & Reliability: monitor/alert with Prometheus/Grafana/ELK, conduct blameless post-mortems to prevent incident recurrence
4. Cross-Functional Leadership

• Partner with Security to automate threat response workflows

• Collaborate with Development teams to optimize release cycles

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field
• More than 5 years in system/cloud architecture with not less than 2 years leading DevOps teams
• Proven track record in: hybrid cloud designs meeting compliance standards
• Proven track record in critical vulnerability remediation ≤7 days
• Experience CI/CD pipelines supporting 200+ deployments/month, and infrastructure-as-code managing 300+ nodes
• Cloud Architecture Expertise: Public Cloud: AWS/Azure/GCP/AliCloud (Solutions Architect certs preferred) and Private Cloud: VMware vSphere, Huawei Cloud Stack (HCS)
• DevOps Leadership: 2+ years managing DevOps engineers
• Technical Delivery Mastery:

- CI/CD: Jenkins/GitLab pipeline design at scale

- IaC: Terraform/Ansible for hybrid environments

- Monitoring: ELK/Prometheus/Grafana implementation

- Vulnerability Management: Achieving ≤7-day remediation SLAs
- Compliance Acumen: NIST CSF, ISO 27001, or telecom regulations

Responsibilities:

Fine-tune and improve a variety of sophisticated software implementation projects Gather and analyze system requirements, document specifications, and develop software solutions to meet client needs and data

Analyze and review enhancement requests and specifications Implement system software and customize to client requirements Prepare the detailed software specifications and test plans

Code new programs to client specifications and create test data for testing

Modify existing programs to new standards and conduct unit testing of developed programs

Create migration packages for system testing, user testing, and implementation Provide quality assurance reviews

Qualifications:
