Core Activities:- Supporting the Sourcing Manager to drive partnership with our vendors to deliver best-in-class performance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for factories regarding T1 capacity planning and lead times.
- Conduct regular capacity review meetings with key manufacturing partners.
- Collaborate with vendors to understand their capabilities, constraints, and expansion plans.
- Proactively secure and book production capacity with key vendors to meet seasonal launch schedules.
- Monitor and track factory capacity utilization in real-time, identifying potential risks and over/under-capacity situations.
- Support to develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to mitigate capacity shortfalls or unexpected demand spikes.
- Partner with the Production Planning team to align capacity with the master production schedule.
- Work closely with the Product Development, Design, Quality and Merchandising teams to understand product complexity, quality and its impact on production capacity.
- Researching and assessing new vendors to support the business and capacity growth and driving continuous improvement
- Owning vendor development and relationship building with stakeholders
- Managing SAP vendor set-up and signing of T1 Supply Agreements
- Owning the onboarding and training of new vendors and continuously building capabilities throughout the entire vendor base
- Providing support to the Sustainability team on compliance and ESG management
- Upholding Fair Labour Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principal of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arcteryx Supply Chain
- Working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building
- Working more in-depth with current and future vendor base to propose continuous improvements on vendor level for efficiency and cost improvements
- Building a talent pipeline to support long term workload increase and business growth
- Contribute to the development of the seasonal sourcing strategy.
- Develop and maintain detailed capacity planning models and dashboards.
- You have a degree in Merchandising/Business Management or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- You have 5+ years’ experience in apparel sourcing, capacity planning or merchandising in a global company
- You have strong interpersonal skills and can work effectively with internal and external stakeholders of diverse cultural backgrounds
- You have expertise in negotiation, problem solving and multi-tasking
- You have good knowledge of raw materials, technical construction and product costing. Footwear experience is a plus
- You are assertive and have a high level of self-initiative
- You are fluent in English and have strong verbal and written communication skills
- You are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook, and knowledge of ERP & PLM systems is an advantage (e.g., SAP, Centric etc.)

The Sourcing Specialist is involved in every Supply Chain aspect and aims for an efficient process to optimize the total flow of goods.
Responsibilities
Sourcing
- Responsible towards our Buying teams in the IHQ and our Sourcing partner with regards to sourcing more items and finding new/better suppliers for Action in Asia.
- Pro-actively looks at which items currently sourced via importers can be sourced via existing or potentially new Direct Import suppliers.
- Independently visits suppliers, together with Sourcing partner, to investigate the potential for Action and to build long-term relationships with these suppliers.
- Responsible for, together with Sourcing partner, the preparation, monitoring and execution of price negotiations and product selection by the Action Buying teams.
- Visit suppliers as representative of Action to resolve commercial disputes and discuss performance.
- Conducts meetings with (potential) suppliers to introduce Action as a retailer with the aim to buy the right (surprising) Action assortment for the right price.
- Escalation point for the Buying teams in the IHQ to support in and resolve commercial issues with suppliers.
- Efficient escalation of issues from suppliers to the Buying teams and effective follow up on mitigation actions.
Management
- Builds a close and trustful cooperation with the merchandising teams of our Sourcing Partner in order to support, steer, inform and guide these teams when needed.

Supplier Management

- Together with the colleagues of Action Hong Kong, monitors the performance of suppliers and factories to improve cost and quality.
Project Management
- Selectively supports in strategic projects by helping to define scope, managing timelines and deadlines, safeguarding quality of output and ensuring support with all stakeholders of projects in Asia within scope of the project.
- Will be responsible and accountable for the execution of smaller projects / strategic initiatives in Asia
Stakeholder Management
- Maintain collaborative relationships with key suppliers across all categories in Asia.
- Ensures that the Sourcing activities in Asia are fully aligned with the buying teams in the IHQ and other Commercial departments.
Your Profile
Requirements – Hard skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related disciplines

- Fluent in English

- Monitor and track factory capacity utilization in real-time, identifying potential risks and over/under-capacity situations.
- Support to develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to mitigate capacity shortfalls or unexpected demand spikes.
- Partner with the Production Planning team to align capacity with the master production schedule.
- Work closely with the Product Development, Design, Quality and Merchandising teams to understand product complexity, quality and its impact on production capacity.
- Researching and assessing new vendors to support the business and capacity growth and driving continuous improvement
- Owning vendor development and relationship building with stakeholders
- Managing SAP vendor set-up and signing of T1 Supply Agreements
- Owning the onboarding and training of new vendors and continuously building capabilities throughout the entire vendor base
- Providing support to the Sustainability team on compliance and ESG management
- Upholding Fair Labour Association’s Workplace Code of Conduct and Principal of Fair Labor and Responsible Sourcing throughout the Arcteryx Supply Chain
- Working closely with the Amer Sports Global Sourcing Vendor Sustainability team on quarterly business reviews and training/capacity building
- Working more in-depth with current and future vendor base to propose continuous improvements on vendor level for efficiency and cost improvements
- Building a talent pipeline to support long term workload increase and business growth
- Contribute to the development of the seasonal sourcing strategy.
- Develop and maintain detailed capacity planning models and dashboards.
- You have a degree in Merchandising/Business Management or related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience
- You have 5+ years’ experience in apparel sourcing, capacity planning or merchandising in a global company
- You have strong interpersonal skills and can work effectively with internal and external stakeholders of diverse cultural backgrounds
- You have expertise in negotiation, problem solving and multi-tasking
- You have good knowledge of raw materials, technical construction and product costing. Footwear experience is a plus
- You are assertive and have a high level of self-initiative
- You are fluent in English and have strong verbal and written communication skills
- You are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point) and Outlook, and knowledge of ERP & PLM systems is an advantage (e.g., SAP, Centric etc.)
- You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
- You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
