EY’s Accounting Compliance & Reporting services provides a range of accounting, statutory reporting and tax compliance support to assist our clients on the internal finance functions, including bookkeeping, financial statements preparation and other accounting functions. We are looking for high calibers professionals to join us.
Your key responsibilities
- Participate in daily Bookkeeping, Accounting & Compliance Reporting engagements
- Prepare monthly financial report, vouchers and all the necessary schedules
- Meet all the due dates as set by the Manager or above
- Work effectively as a team member, share responsibility, provide support, maintaining communication and update senior team members on engagement’s progress
- Archive engagements’ reports and correspondences on timely basis and Firm’s policies
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with clients
- Follow through on client requests in a timely fashion, and manage expectations regarding the timing of deliverables and reports
- Build strong internal relationships within the team and across other service lines
- Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
- Receive direction from the Manager or above and execute procedures using the service delivery framework
- Review works of junior grade, provide daily guidance and coaching to professionals and help mentor, develop and evaluate them
To qualify for the role you must have
- A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related discipline
- A holder of professional qualification such as HKICPA, AICPA, CICPA qualification or in progress
- 1-2 years or above accounting experience in Big4, sizable CPA firms, renowned consulting firm or manufacturing MNC above is an advantage
- Demonstrate a good knowledge of PRC GAAP, IFRS and/or US GAAP
- Excellent knowledge of computer skill including MS Office, MS Excel, and an integrated ERP System (SAP, Dynamics, Oracle or similar), etc
- Good command of English with fluent Mandarin
- Hands-on experience in month end closing process, account reconciliation, and tax compliance work
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking, time-management skills and with strong sense of responsibilities
- Excellent commitment to job, positive initiative, a good team player and with right attitude to work; and technically competent in resolving day to day operations relating to accounting matters
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines

- Responsible for treasury & payment administration from review of payment instruction, Fund Movement Statement to dispatching payment instruction.
- Provide monthly payroll service to clients such as review of monthly payroll calculation, tax returns, MPF contribution and payment arrangement.
- Assist the team to achieve the business goal and financial objectives of the department.
- Review working papers prepared by subordinates and support manager in clients’ service delivery.
- Being the coach in providing support to subordinates and monitor their performance.
- Setup of accounting system and workflow for new clients
- Prepare various reports to fulfil clients’ business objective.
- Liaise with clients on accounting issues.
- Satisfy any other specific requirements of clients.
- Perform other ad hoc projects as assigned by immediate supervisors / seniors
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or relevant disciplines
- HKICPA members or equivalent for other association including CAANZ, ACA, ACCA and CIMA
- At least 3 years’ accounting and tax experience
- Basic knowledge of Hong Kong and China Taxation and Accounting Practices and Compliance
- Proficient in various accounting software is an advantage
- Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented
- Presentable and strong in communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong sense of professional integrity and strong business acumen
- Client oriented and have good client liaison skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as Assistant Manager, Financial Accounting & Tax, Fund Clients . Reporting to the Manager, Financial Accounting & Tax Services, Funds, this full-time, permanent position is based in Hong Kong and offers a chance to significantly impact our growth.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage full sets of accounts and bookkeeping for clients, including preparation and review of accounting entries, journals, financial statements, and bank reconciliations.
- Handle treasury and payment administration, from reviewing payment instructions to executing payments.
- Provide monthly payroll services, including payroll calculations, tax returns, MPF contributions, and payment arrangements.
- Support the team in achieving departmental business and financial goals.
- Review work prepared by the Global Shared Service Centre (GSC) and support client service delivery.
- Coach and monitor GSC team performance.
- Set up accounting systems and workflows for new clients.
- Prepare and review reports to meet clients' business objectives.
- Communicate with clients regarding accounting issues.
- Coordinate with auditors and external parties such as bankers and the Inland Revenue Department.
- Address any other specific client requirements.
- Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or relevant fields.
- Registered Student or Member of HKICPA or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience in accounting or audit.
- Hands-on experience with full sets of accounts and strong accounting principles knowledge.
- Familiarity with Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards and local GAAP.
- Experience managing service delivery and working with Shared Service Centres is preferred.
- Experience in professional firms is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience preparing FRR returns for SFC-licensed firms is preferred.
- Experience with SPV and corporate fund accounting is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software is an advantage.
- Good command of English and Chinese; fluency in Mandarin is a plus.

Key responsibilities:
- Responsible for full sets of accounts and bookkeeping for clients including but not limited to review of accounting entries, journals, financial statements and bank reconciliation.

- Provide monthly payroll service to clients such as review of monthly payroll calculation, tax returns, MPF contribution and payment arrangement.
- Assist the team to achieve the business goal and financial objectives of the department.
- Review working papers prepared by subordinates and support manager in clients’ service delivery.
- Being the coach in providing support to subordinates and monitor their performance.
- Setup of accounting system and workflow for new clients
- Prepare various reports to fulfil clients’ business objective.
- Liaise with clients on accounting issues.
- Satisfy any other specific requirements of clients.
- Perform other ad hoc projects as assigned by immediate supervisors / seniors
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or relevant disciplines
- HKICPA members or equivalent for other association including CAANZ, ACA, ACCA and CIMA
- At least 3 years’ accounting and tax experience
- Basic knowledge of Hong Kong and China Taxation and Accounting Practices and Compliance
- Proficient in various accounting software is an advantage
- Self-motivated, well-organized and detail-oriented
- Presentable and strong in communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong sense of professional integrity and strong business acumen
- Client oriented and have good client liaison skills
- Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; fluency in Mandarin is an advantage.
