What you'll be doing
- Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, ensuring full compliance with relevant tax regulations

- Relevant degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation with a professional tax qualification (e.g., CTA, ACCA)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a tax advisory or compliance role, preferably within a professional services firm
- Strong technical knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical, client-focused manner
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax issues to non-technical stakeholders

We are looking to recruit a Director of Global Tax Compliance and Tax Accounting located in Hong Kong / Singapore to lead the rapidly growing tax compliance and tax accounting team at
This role offers the successful candidate a fantastic opportunity to manage the group tax compliance and tax accounting and will collaborate with tax team members on several key work streams of the tax function including transfer pricing structuring and tax/finance technology projects.
Reporting to the SVP – Global Head of Tax, the successful candidate will lead a team of direct reports and play a lead role in the group audit review of tax with external auditors and participate in transactions and structuring initiatives.
The ideal candidate will be a team player who leads by example, implements tax plans and works with cross-functional teams to identify value creation opportunities and strategies to mitigate tax risk.
Responsibilities
- Oversee tax compliance agenda and implementation of group tax compliance policies in all jurisdictions
- Review and manage consolidated and key subsidiary quarterly income tax provisions and deferred tax calculations, in accordance with ASC740 and IFRS, including related footnote disclosures
- Prepare tax management reporting and modelling of the ETR and cash taxes
- Manage tax audit review processes with external group auditors
- Lead tax accounting aspects of acquisitions and other transactional activities
- Lead future tax technology projects related to tax accounting, reporting, tax compliance and transfer pricing
- Work closely with the transfer pricing team and review aspects of key intercompany transactions (financing, support services)
- Lead or assist with other special projects and process improvements
Requirements
- CPA or equivalent
- 10+ years of experience with Big 4 public accounting and/or multinational corporate tax department in a public company
- Strong background in ASC740 and IFRS tax accounting and reporting and leading compliance processes
- Proven experience with managing complex international tax matters
- Experience with implementation of tax accounting or tax compliance technological solutions
- Experience with managing tax matters in multiple countries is preferred
- Understanding of transfer pricing principles and their practical implementation
- Strong leadership, project management, organizational and communication skills
- A high-level of intellectual, professional and interpersonal agility and flexibility, combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Flexible and open-minded personality and "Hands-on" work mentality
- Well organized and hardworking, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment and manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure

As a Business Tax Services Senior, you’ll make technical contributions to business tax compliance and tax advisory engagements. Your Key Responsibilities
As a Business Tax Services Senior, you’ll make technical contributions to business tax compliance and tax advisory engagements. You’ll actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships. You may participate in preparing or reviewing income tax returns for complex organizations in diverse and specialized industries; identifying tax savings and risk reducing opportunities for consideration and implementation; preparing or reviewing the statutory accounts for a domestic or foreign client; and preparing estimated tax liabilities to assist the client in meeting its tax payment obligations.
Skills and attributes for success
- Participate in business tax compliance and tax advisory engagements
- Work effectively as a team member, sharing responsibility, providing support, maintaining communication and updating senior team members on progress
- Assist in preparing reports and schedules that will be delivered to clients and other parties
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
- Build strong internal relationships within the business tax compliance team and across other services
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (MBA, Masters of Tax and LLM a plus) with strong academic credentials
- A minimum of 2 years of Hong Kong corporate tax experience gained from the financial industry or public accounting firm is desirable
- Professional accountancy qualification or working towards gaining one
- Strong negotiation skills, able to sustain opinion and handle challenges

This role will serve as a key business partner to department heads, providing critical financial insights and analysis to support the formulation of sound financial and operational decisions. Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, management reporting, and variance analysis, the role requires translating data into actionable decision references to support the company in achieving its growth and profitability goals.
Key Responsibilities1. Planning & Forecasting
- Collaborate with department heads to advance the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasting work, and participate in cross-departmental coordination and communication.
- Develop and maintain basic financial models to provide data support for strategic initiatives, scenario planning, and new business opportunities.
2. Management Reporting & Analysis
- Create dashboards and data visualizations to clearly convey core financial information to stakeholders without a financial background.
- Prepare and promptly distribute monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports, and clearly explain variances between budget, forecast, and prior-year data.
- Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), financial trends, and operational metrics to assist in identifying potential risks and opportunities.
3. Financial System Support for Business
- Assist in designing or maintaining Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and financial systems tailored to economics, covering: Revenue tracking; Cost allocation; Hashpower sales.
- Support the integration of wallet systems and exchange data feeds to facilitate real-time synchronization of financial data. Assist in implementing dynamic cost accounting and participate in the optimization of relevant processes.
- Support the development of real-time dashboards for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and executive team, and organize data such as hashpower revenue, power efficiency, and profit and loss statements.
4. Tax Compliance
- Assist in formulating tax planning strategies to help reduce the company's tax burden while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Identify tax-saving opportunities and propose preliminary recommendations, such as the application of tax-optimized transaction structures, tax credits, and preferential policies.
- Assist in preparing and filing local tax returns (including but not limited to corporate income tax returns) to ensure accuracy and timely submission.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in the accounting field, with relevant experience in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, or financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide basic reference insights.
- Basic understanding of the Web 3.0 industry or willingness to learn proactively, along with an open work attitude.
- Proficiency in financial modeling and Excel operations (pivot tables, lookup functions, common formulas).
