About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Tax Assistant to join our growing team at Expat UK Tax Ltd. This full-time position will be based in Hong Kong Island and will play a crucial role in supporting our UK Taxation services. As a Tax Associate, you will contribute to the smooth operation of our tax advisory and compliance practice.
What you'll be doing
- Help maintain accurate records and documentation of tax-related information.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary documents and information.
- Process KYC documents from clients as part of the onboarding process.
- Liaise with tax authorities and other stakeholders as required.
- You will assist with the preparation and filing of individual tax returns.
- Assist with the process of publishing our quarterly newsletter and other publications.
- Provide general administrative support to the Taxation team.
What we're looking for
- Strong communication and written skills in English.
- Relevant experience in a tax-related is desired.
- 0-3 years experience working in an accounting or tax related industry
- Strong preference for candidates who have UK tax qualifications, notably, AAT, ATT, CTA, ADIT, STEP however accounting qualifications are also preferred, such as ACCA, ACA, or ICAS.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in using Microsoft applications and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
