Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate the identification of potential tax issues by conducting review on clients' financials and business operations
- Manage, formulate and implement strategies to handle the IRD tax audit and provide technical support for audit defense
- Maintain continuous interaction with clients, manage expectations and ensure outstanding client service
- Lead and team with tax professionals to provide comprehensive tax services
- Manage and coordinate tax policy controversy engagements and assist tax clients to attend IRD interviews
- Oversee the tax team to liaise with IRD, compile replies to IRD's enquiry letters and settlement proposals to IRD
- Share knowledge to develop professionally and enhance service delivery. Facilitate open communication and supervise staffs
To qualify, candidates must meet the following requirements
- University graduates with a minimum of 5 years of experience for Manager
- Candidates with less experience will be considered as Staff / Senior
- A CPA, CTA, law license or other certification relevant to an area of specialization
- General knowledge of tax laws with specialized knowledge in one or more technical areas
- Strong interpersonal skills and able to interact effectively with both management and clients
- Excellent supervisory, analytical, organizational, and leadership ability
- Proven ability of managing complex and sizable assignments
- A commitment to learning in a tax technology environment
- Excellent command of spoken and written English and Mandarin.

Your Key Responsibilities
Your role is to provide administrative support for EY Tax Group, including document delivery (indoor & outdoor), general office maintenance and data entry, etc.
To qualify for the role you must have
- Form 5 or above.
- Minimum 1 year's relevant working experience, preferably in professional services or sizable firm.
- Good command of both spoken & written English & Chinese.
- Basic computer knowledge is an advantage.
- Immediate availability is preferred.
Ideally, you'll also have
- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and adhere to project deadlines

Work you'll do
- Support the preparation and review of US federal and state income tax returns with a focus on partnerships, corporations, trusts and/or international tax filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with the US tax regulations.
- Assist with FATCA, CRS and QI compliance and advisory engagements, including due diligence, reporting, and other related advisory services;
- Assist with US tax consulting and due diligence projects, including conducting tax research and drafting tax advisory reports;
- Assist with international tax advisory services, including US inbound and outbound transactions, group restructuring and cross-border tax planning; and
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including audit, consulting, and global tax professionals, to provide integrated solutions.
You are also expected to

- Strong analytical skills and committed to quality client service;
- Excellent project management, interpersonal and communication skills.

EY's Private Client Services practice offers tax-related domestic and cross-border planning and compliance assistance to business-connected individuals and their associated entities. In addition, in today's global environment, cross-border services help meet the ever-growing needs of internationally positioned clients.
With dedicated resources in major markets around the world our professionals provide services in the following areas: a wide range of tax services including tax compliance, tax planning, and tax advice relating to clients’ business interests, investments and other financial-related assets; individual financial planning for high-net-worth individuals and executive groups; individual and fiduciary income tax planning and compliance for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Provide tax advisory services for clients. Thoroughly and accurately analyze information. Prepare quality, practical approaches to the client’s financial situation and arrive at appropriate conclusions.
- Build on technical competence by keeping up to date on trends, developments and technical authorities and apply them to moderately complex situations.
- Develop and maintain productive working relationships with client personnel
- Contribute to the overall success of the team by developing a thorough understanding of EY methodologies and tools to enhance service delivery
- A bachelor's degree with a concentration in accounting, finance, economics or a related field (an advanced degree in tax or law is desirable)
- 2 years above corporate tax and/or financial accounting or relevant experience
- Proficient knowledge of financial accounting and tax laws with specialized knowledge in at least one technical area
- CPA, CFA or a similar certification
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills
- Fluent English and Cantonese and Mandarin. Written Chinese is a must.

About the role
As a Tax Specialist at Rina Hong Kong Limited, you will play a crucial role in providing expert tax advice and compliance services to our diverse client base. What you'll be doing
- Preparing and reviewing complex tax returns, ensuring full compliance with relevant tax regulations
- Conducting tax research and analysis to identify tax planning opportunities for clients
