The PositionReporting to the Provost and Deputy President through the Dean of College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences, the Head of Department will provide leadership and strategic direction in research and professional education for the Department. The Head will encourage and promote academic excellence, and steer the Department to enhance the mission and vision of the University in alignment with the University's Strategic Plan.
The PersonThe appointee should have a distinguished record of research, teaching and scholarship, and substantial relevant experience in tertiary education; outstanding management effectiveness; commitment to teamwork; and strong communication and networking skills to build and nurture internal and external contacts to the benefit of the Department. A doctoral degree with strong academic and professional qualifications is required.

Salary and Conditions of ServiceThe appointee will be offered appointment to an academic rank commensurate with qualifications and experience. The headship appointment will be on a concurrent basis for an initial period of about three years. An attractive remuneration package, driven by market competitiveness and individual performance, will be offered. In this role, you're expected to:
- Conduct planning and budgeting activities for branch, manage and control human resources, technological and supply needs
- Provide individual feedback to staff and management; perform training and hold one-on-one coaching sessions
- Coordinate team sessions with sales executives assigned to the branch, drive focus on client experience and team morale
- Coordinate product and service training, oversee implementation of process improvements/efficiencies
- Maintain relationship with key clients, business partners and stakeholders, ensure customers receive timely updates on cases, and manage retention tasks
- Prioritize and coordinate daily tasks to ensure operating efficiencies are achieved, including call and email queue monitoring
- Coordinate with facilities to ensure adequacy of infrastructure and general upkeep of the branch
- Execute financial activities for branch including overdraft authorizations, new account openings, and negotiating interest rates
- Manage control and review of files, ensure compliance with Anti-money Laundering and Know Your Customer compliance policies
- Control and follow up on adherence to regional operations procedures; ensure correct execution of the commercial strategy
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
As a successful candidate, you'd ideally have the following skills and exposure:
- 6-10 years of relevant experience required
- Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in Business Management, Economics, Finance or similar field
- Previous experience in management of banking, sales or client service preferred
- Previous experience in product management, procedures and regulations preferred
- Proven management skills
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Key Responsibilities:
Mainly deployed on assisting Catering Manager / Hospital Chef to:
Support & monitor daily patient food service operation, including cook-chill food production, special menu for patients.
Carry out duties of Cook, including food preparation, cooking and meal plating.
Supervise the workmen, cooks and contractor staff.
Follow up the routine maintenance of facilities and equipment.
Conduct OSH assessments and staff training when necessary.
Manage stock controls of department.

Knowledge in the applications of common computer software including MS Office, Chinese word processing, use of e-mail etc.
