Job Summary

To provide technical support to all Financial Markets business in Dealing Room for the following applications and services:

  • Desktop Computing Environment
  • Telecom and Trader Voice
  • Market Data and transactional system
  • Dealing Room Infrastructure and Business Continuity Plan

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support for all Financial Markets products and infrastructure (desktop, server, telephony, market data).
  • Manage incidents and changes, including scheduled changes and request provisioning, call logging, and reporting, ensuring adherence to standards and raising dispensations when necessary.
  • Assist in establishing business recovery sites to enable business transactions and monitor exposure during disasters.
  • Enforce global strategies and standards across all Financial Markets locations, ensuring compliance with risk, security, and procedural standards.
  • Conduct risk management, SIP initiatives, and technical audits, maintaining audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Implement and enforce processes, guidelines, and procedures for installation, operation, and support of desktops, servers, network infrastructure, legacy systems, and email systems.
  • Manage vendors and onsite support engineers to ensure a secure, stable, and resilient environment.
  • Support desktop environments, MS Windows, Office, Active Directory, email and messaging applications, telecom, trader voice, and market data systems like Bloomberg and Refinitiv.
  • Maintain Dealing Room infrastructure, including cable infrastructure, electricity capacity, and BCP site readiness.

Other Responsibilities

  • Embed the group's values and perform other duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with local laws and internal policies.
  • Maintain internal controls, contribute to investigations, and ensure compliance with regulations.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Service management skills, proficiency with M365 tools, Windows, and Active Directory.

Qualifications

  • Experience in IT support, operations, and projects within a wholesale banking environment.
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure supporting banking services, including mainframes, mid-range systems, networking, and telecommunications.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, knowledge of e-trading tools, and PC/server applications (MCSE preferred).
  • Understanding of IT security policies and project management skills.

  • An experienced BA, or equivalent experience in a role centred around process transformation or improving user experience.
  • Proven experience as a Data Analyst or in a similar technically focused role.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and Excel (or similar spreadsheet software).
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience of collaborating and managing relationships with business stakeholders, at all levels, with the ability to challenge where required.
  • Experience in managing and/or mentoring and developing other team members.
  • Ability to quickly understand high level business processes and problems and present solutions and options.
  • Being a team player with an ability to work collaboratively and positively with others in an open, friendly, flexible and facilitating manner.
  • Ability to define scope and distil lots of information into high level understandable concepts and business language.
  • Experience of process mapping, requirements elicitation techniques & Business Case writing.
  • Ability to navigate through and manage change in a fast-paced environment.

Customer Support Engineer
We are looking for a technically inclined, customer-obsessed engineer to join us as our Customer Support Engineer. You will work closely with our customers and help them get the most out of our products and ensure their success.

Skills & Experience:

Degree/diploma in computing/telecommunication, or related engineering field.
Fluency in Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
Knowledge in the following areas will be extremely useful.
Telephony: T1/E1 PRI, ISDN BRI, CO Trunks, FXS Stations.
Networking Administration and troubleshooting.
SIP and CCNA skill set.
IP-PBX, IP Phones, gateways, POE switches, Video Conference equipment.
Previous experience in customer focused position is a plus.

  • Provide swift and professional deskside IT support
  • Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop problems for clients, recommend and implement corrective solutions

Job Description:

The Level 2 Team is considered the face of IT and for our clients the window to the wider technology groups. Its responsibilities lie predominately in resolving BAU tickets created by the Level 1 Team and reacting to escalations. Individual team members will attend a clients' desk to provide best-in-class technology support or use remote tools to assist clients in remote offices or who are working from home. Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential along with strong technical troubleshooting abilities.

The Role

For this role we are looking for a Support Desk Analyst to provide first level support. This involves taking calls and handling incidents or service requests using the incident management system and request fulfilment processes.

We’re looking for someone who has technical proficiency in:

  • 1 years desktop support experience, preferably in a Financial Services Environment, or, Degree level Qualification or equivalent in relevant field.
  • Support Desk call logging tools – HP service centre / Remedy / Infra.
  • Senior Management / VIP Support.
  • Cisco Unified Call Manager.
  • Bloomberg/Reuters.
  • MCP / MCITP Windows 7 / MCDST / MCSA.
  • ITIL v3 Foundation.
  • Data Centre experience.
  • On call / Out of hours experience.
  • Apple products / Mobile technologies.

Typical Job Duties Would Include

  • Provide first line support through the call-logging software and on-site, as appropriate for all incidents and requests.
  • Issue customers with details of call assignment and likely resolution timescales.
  • Reassign or escalate incidents and requests to on-site third line support, third parties or other teams where appropriate discussing fully with colleagues.
  • Monitor and update all incidents and requests, including calls assigned to external suppliers.
  • Review incidents and requests with customers and work together to continuously improve service delivery provision.
  • Deal directly with requests and complaints alike and escalate where necessary.
  • TCP/IP Troubleshooting.
  • LAN/WAN troubleshooting Skills.
  • Building and Maintaining Desktop/Laptops (HP/Dell).
