About The Job

As part of our Digital, Data and Technology practice expansion we are seeking an Enterprise Architect with deep expertise in financial services (banking, payments, insurance & or wealth) technology to drive large-scale digital transformation initiatives. This role will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and regulatory-compliant enterprise architectures for banking, payments, insurance, and wealth management clients. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud migration, API-driven ecosystems, and fintech integrations while ensuring alignment between business objectives and technology strategy.

Although this role requires hands-on technical expertise, there is also a requirement for stakeholder management and collaboration with Capco sales teams on business development. Therefore, you must possess the soft skills associated with being a trusted advisor with the ability to tailor your conversation to the audience (CEO, CIO, COO, CDO, Transformation leads, Business leads).

Responsibilities

  • Technology Strategy & Architecture Development
    • Define and implement enterprise architecture frameworks and target state architectures, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
    • Design microservices architectures, API ecosystems, and event-driven systems.
    • Evaluate SaaS/PaaS vs. custom-built solutions for financial institutions.
    • Drive data strategy, enabling efficient real-time analytics and AI/ML adoption.
    • Design cloud migration and modernization efforts (considering hyperscalers such as AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Develop technical roadmaps for financial system transformations, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance across enterprise-wide technology solutions.


  • Stakeholder, Vendor & Project Management
    • Act as a bridge between business and technology teams, translating technical concepts into business outcomes.
    • Partner with CIOs, CTOs, and business leaders to drive strategic technology decisions.
    • Support relationships with third-party vendors, cloud providers, and fintech partners.
    • Guide agile development teams to ensure architectural consistency and best practices.
    • Experienced with multi-site, multi-cultural teams


  • Emerging Technology & Innovation
    • Assess and consider in design AI-driven financial services, blockchain, and other emerging technologies.
    • Explore DeFi, embedded finance, and open banking architectures.
    • Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives for next-generation banking and insurance solutions.


  • Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC)
    • Ensure enterprise architecture complies with financial regulations (e.g., Basel III, PSD2, GDPR, MAS).
    • Consider robust cybersecurity, IAM, and data privacy frameworks.
    • Conduct risk assessments and ensure regulatory adherence in all technology implementations.
Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise architecture within the financial services industry, fintechs or consultancies / SI’s.
  • Experience with core banking, digital payments, wealth management, and risk platforms.
  • Experience in domain-driven, event-driven architecture and integration patterns
  • Experience in Data & Analytics system design and architecture
  • Experience with API design, development and open standards to drives distributed architectures preferably with a background in one of Java, C# or C++.
  • Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), microservices, and API-led architecture.
  • Deep knowledge of cybersecurity, IT governance, and cloud security best practices.
  • Experience in enterprise technology buying and evaluation process
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience driving product goal, go-to-market strategy, design discussions, creating product roadmaps, launching solutions and partnering with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with a proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships to drive business transformation.
  • Understands thoroughly and exemplifies Lean, Agile, and DevOps delivery principles
  • Preferred certification(s): TOGAF, GCP/AWS/Azure Solutions Architect, CISM, CISSP, or SAFe Agile Architect.

Leverage your expertise to oversee architectural excellence inour New Technology Exploration team under the Enterprise Architect solution centre, ensuring we drive our technology strategy and ensure robust, scalable, and secured data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the enterprise solution architecture and roadmap definition, including architecture vision, principles, standards and policies, target state blueprints, and roadmap for the relevant solution domains
  • Drive the adaption and reuse of design patterns and best practices
  • Work closely with solution architects to define architecture runway to support agile development
  • Work closely and collaborate with other Enterprise Architects to align the enterprise architecture strategy (for all business and technology domains)
  • Support the definition and implementation of solution governance strategy to support realization of the enterprise solution architecture
  • Lead analysis of the current IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Actively engage in and contribute to relevant solution design review activities and enterprise architecture governance forums and conduct project technical reviews and health checks
  • Actively engage in the analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the solution architecture
  • Mentor solution architects and solution engineering team. Promote ideas for using the effective technologies
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends in technology, industry, and corresponding business domain

Requirements

  • University Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related disciplines
  • Minimum 12 years of IT experience with at least 7 years in an architecture or lead solution design related position.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud-native concepts, methods and related technologies
  • Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation
  • Good business acumen, with an ability to understand and address business issues
  • Excellent breadth of thinking, able to provide pragmatic solutions that consider all relevant constraints whether technical, financial, organizational, risk, or capability based
  • Airline knowledge is an advantage
  • TOGAF certification is preferred

**Lead Enterprise Architect**
The Lead Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing and implementing the enterprise architecture strategy, roadmap and architecture solutions which is aligned to IT principles, strategy and business goals. This role involves development of Enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and governance process which enables digital transformation initiatives architecture solution to be scalable, resilient, reliable with no tech debt and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong enterprise and solution architecture experience with ability collaborate effectively with country chief architects to achieve consensus in driving architecture and technology initiatives
**Position Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and maintain the architecture target state, roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
+ Interprets and applies enterprise architecture standards, frameworks and policies to inform a broad range of business improvement activities, including those relating to the design, development, and maintenance of IT systems and technologies
+ Lead and mentor a team of architects and IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
+ Collaborate with business leaders, IT leaders to communicate critical information about the organization's architecture and technology landscape
+ Collaborates with engineering teams, delivery, business partners and data governance team to provide leading architecture solutions

**Required Technical Skills:**
+ Proficiency in TOGAF, Zachman, or similar EA frameworks

+ Commercial awareness to understand market context and pressures, business requirements, competitive positioning, and the market context
+ Experience in Application Design and Management
