Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow the Environment team based in Hong Kong
  • Control and management of the whole life cycle of projects in the Environment team
  • Be a team leader to develop and grow the team with P&L responsibilities
  • Working and leading a multi-disciplinary team of engineers, technicians and other professionals to develop engineering designs from concept to detailed design and specifications
  • Liaise with clients in relation to project progress, decisions and changes to ensure deliverables are met and produced on time and budget
  • Responsible for business proposal preparation, bidding, tendering and commercial negotiations
  • Responsible for bringing in new consultancy work for the Environment team as well as for the wider Transportation and Water Business
  • Proactively seek for business development and opportunities within Hong Kong and across Asia

What can you bring?

An Ideal Candidate Should Have The Following Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree or above in environmental, science, engineering or a relevant discipline
  • Corporate Member of the HKIEIA, HKIQEP, or equivalent
  • Have a minimum of 20 years of environmental consultancy experience
  • Hands-on experience in leading environmental impact assessments
  • Hands-on experience in the management/coordination of environmental studies for multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects
  • Hands-on experience in the effective liaison and coordination with regulatory authorities and relevant stakeholders on the implementation of environmental monitoring and audit programme for infrastructure projects
  • Conversant with Hong Kong environmental legislations and regulations, and its application on engineering sector projects
  • Hands-on experience in representing the company, identifying and developing business opportunities, managing projects and leading a project team
  • Have strong leadership, management and interpersonal skills; and
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential. Ability to speak Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) would be an advantage

Applications are invited for the position of Product Development Scientist (Ref.: H01/2025/053) to work on an innovative research project developing a novel system including instruments, consumable chips, reagents, and software for IVD at the Hong Kong Science Park.

Job Description
  • Lead reagent development for the project, driving R&D activities with defined goals and timelines, and resolving experimental issues based on professional knowledge and literature research.
  • Mentor the reagent development team to monitor progress.
  • Collaborate with the bioinformatics team to interpret experimental results and validate experimental designs.
  • Coordinate with teams such as instrumentation, production, quality, and marketing to facilitate product translation.
  • Perform additional tasks as required by the team.
Skills and Requirements
  • Ph.D. in biology, chemistry, bioengineering, immunology, clinical sciences, or a related field, with a solid background in molecular biology and experimental skills.
  • Experience in reagent product development is advantageous.
  • Preferred experience in droplet microfluidics, digital PCR, next-generation sequencing, or qPCR reagent development.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.

As a Vice President, Product Development, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Broad knowledge of investment products, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, quantitative strategies, and ETFs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.

  • Manage the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from initial concept through to final production, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.
  • Collaborate closely with design, procurement, and supply chain teams to align on project deliverable and ensure seamless execution.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to stay ahead of industry trends and integrate innovative ideas into the product portfolio.
  • Liaise with suppliers to source high-quality materials and negotiate favourable terms and pricing.
  • Oversee production schedules, proactively addressing any issues to ensure timely delivery and minimal disruption.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, including product specifications, approvals, and cost analyses, to support transparency and traceability.
  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations and internal standards throughout the development process.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to stakeholders, highlighting progress, key milestones, and potential risks.


The Successful Applicant

  • A strong background in product development within the FMCG or E-commerce industry, particularly in fashion or apparel.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
  • Solid experience in women bottoms, including skirts and dresses are highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in working with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.
  • Good understanding of current market trends and consumer preferences.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to interact with stakeholders and vendors.

Job Description
As a Vice President, Product Development, your main responsibilities will include:
  • Support the team head in overseeing the full product development lifecycle-from contributing strategic insights aligned with regional and global objectives to managing and resolving post-launch issues.
  • Participate in product design aligned with business strategies across both local and international markets, and implement initiatives to drive product innovation and growth.
  • Coordinate product initiatives by collaborating with key internal stakeholders, including the investment, risk management, compliance, sales & marketing, and finance teams, as well as external service providers, to ensure successful product launches and ongoing management.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of the product suite, such as introducing new share classes or adapting to regulatory changes.
  • Review and streamline existing workflows to improve the efficiency of product development and operational processes, ensuring readiness for new or enhanced product offerings.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and regulatory developments that may impact product launches or the existing product range, and communicate relevant updates internally.
The Successful Applicant
A Successful Vice President, Product Development Should Have
  • Bachelor's degree or above, with substantial experience in the asset management industry.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in product development.
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks governing fund structures across various jurisdictions.
  • Broad knowledge of investment products, including equities, fixed income, alternatives, quantitative strategies, and ETFs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Proven project management capabilities with a track record of delivering results.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed.
  • Proficient in both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
