Key Responsibilities

- Technical Leadership & Expertise:
Serve as the primary global technical leader for textile, apparel, and footwear products. Provide expert guidance on global regulations, standards, and industry best practices. - Compliance & Strategic Oversight:

Actively participate in industry associations and policy committees. - Labeling & Physical Testing Expertise:
Possess extensive knowledge of global labeling requirements, including mandatory information and new regulations like the Digital Product Passport. Oversee the development of advanced physical testing protocols for durability, with a strong understanding of consumer product safety and textile performance tests.
Qualifications
- Education:
A university degree in Textile Science, Textile Engineering, or a related field is required. - Experience:
A minimum of 12+ years of experience in product management, compliance assessment, or a related role within a retail supply chain or a third-party Assurance, Testing, Inspection, and Certification (ATIC) service provider. Experience in handling retail supply chain ATIC programs is essential. - Technical Expertise:
Extensive knowledge of global regulatory and standard bodies. Experience designing product specifications for compliance with global safety and sustainability regulations, including those related to circularity. Must have a strong understanding of consumer product safety and textile performance tests. - Skills & Attributes:

Job Location

Job Duties

Operations Duties
- Oversee factory operations at our China subsidiary, Virtuix Manufacturing (Zhuhai) Co., Ltd.
- Continuously improve quality control procedures at our Zhuhai factory, including incoming inspection, production test, and outgoing final inspection
- Manage supply chain of electronic components, circuit boards, plastic parts, metal parts, and other materials

R&D Duties
- Set up engineering team at Hong Kong office by recruiting graduates of top Hong Kong universities (such as HKUST School of Engineering)

- Boost up the engineering capabilities in new product development, machinery utilization and fabrication so as to achieve cost effective manufacturing at optimal output capacity.
- Provide guidance, advice, and support to engineers in areas of project leadership, technical consultation, documentation, quality, engineering disciplines, interfaces with other functions, company policy and procedures.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritise technological opportunities that drive business growth and competitive advantage
- Monitoring industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform the company's engineering roadmap and decision-making
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to explore new ideas and implement innovative approaches

REQUIREMENTS
- Master's in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, Optical Engineering or related fields (PhD is preferred)
- At least 20 years in a senior engineering leadership role in the capacity of equipment design and product development
- A result-oriented data champion supporting strategic business initiatives
- Strong in project management, sound timely decision making, delegation and process management.
- Self-driven with strong leadership; good interpersonal savvy with excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Strong business sense, result oriented and able to work under pressure.
- Proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects and driving technological innovation
