About The Opportunity

Nethermind is seeking an experienced technical leader to drive our product innovation and engineering excellence across Asia-Pacific. Reporting to the APAC Regional Managing Director (RMD), you'll lead the technical execution of our regional strategy while building world-class products that bridge blockchain and AI technologies for enterprise clients.

This is a senior technical leadership role where you'll have significant autonomy over product and engineering decisions while working closely with regional leadership to achieve our ambitious growth targets. You'll have the autonomy of a founder with the backing of a global blockchain leader, shaping the future of enterprise blockchain and AI solutions across the world's most dynamic markets.

Your Mission

Transform Nethermind's APAC presence from a promising footprint into a revenue-generating powerhouse by building world-class products that bridge blockchain and AI technologies for enterprise clients across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Product Leadership

  • Define and execute the technical product roadmap aligned with APAC business strategy
  • Lead product development lifecycle from ideation to launch for 1 flagship product
  • Make technical decisions on architecture, tech stack, and feature prioritization
  • Work with the Regional Managing Director to ensure products meet market requirements
  • Create technical IP in blockchain/AI convergence

Engineering Excellence & Team Building

  • Assemble and/or Build and lead a team of engineers and product managers across APAC
  • Manage engineering hiring, performance, and retention in collaboration with regional leadership
  • Define engineering standards, development methodologies, and quality benchmarks
  • Manage technical budget allocation within approved R&D budget

Technical Strategy & Innovation

  • Provide technical expertise to support the Regional Managing Director's business development efforts
  • Lead technical due diligence for partnerships identified by regional leadership
  • Define APAC-specific technical requirements based on regional needs
  • Drive innovation in areas unique to APAC markets
  • Own technical documentation and developer education initiatives

Supporting Business Development

  • Serve as senior technical resource for customer meetings arranged by the RMD
  • Conduct technical deep-dives and proof-of-concepts for enterprise prospects
  • Partner with sales team to articulate technical value propositions
  • Ensure successful technical implementation for customers acquired by business team
  • Provide technical input for pricing and commercial discussions when requested

Technical Ecosystem Development

  • Represent Nethermind at technical conferences and developer forums
  • Build relationships with technical leaders at partner organizations
  • Lead technical partnerships with educational and enterprise research institutions
  • Manage developer community engagement and open-source contributions
  • Support the RMD in building Nethermind's technical reputation in APAC

What You Bring:

Essential Experience

  • 8+ years in technical product management and/or engineering leadership roles
  • 5+ years working in APAC markets with understanding of regional technical requirements
  • Proven track record of shipping enterprise products and scaling engineering teams
  • Experience building and leading distributed teams of 20+ engineers
  • Deep technical expertise in distributed systems, with blockchain experience preferred
  • Track record of supporting business growth through technical excellence

Technical Expertise

  • Strong foundation in distributed systems, cryptography, and consensus mechanisms
  • Understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contracts, and DeFi protocols
  • Familiarity with AI/ML systems and their intersection with blockchain
  • Ability to architect systems for enterprise-grade reliability and scale
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure and modern engineering practices

Working with the Regional Managing Director

As a key member of the APAC leadership team reporting to the Regional Managing Director, you will:

  • Execute Technical Vision: Implement the technical components of the regional strategy
  • Enable Business Growth: Provide technical expertise to support business development
  • Manage Technical Operations: Own day-to-day engineering and product decisions within strategic framework
  • Advise on Technical Matters: Serve as the RMD's technical advisor for strategic decisions
  • Represent Technical Excellence: Be the senior technical voice in customer and partner meetings

The RMD sets the overall regional strategy and business targets, while you ensure technical execution excellence and product delivery to meet those objectives.

HAECO Component Overhaul is an independent MRO offering a wide range of repair and overhaul solutions for aircraft components from purpose-built facilities in Hong Kong and Xiamen, our workshops also facilitate the closed-loop repair of components.

Position Description What You'll Do
  • Expand the capability of maintenance / overhaul and associated shops, to meet customer and commercial requirements
  • Responsible for Component capability development projects
  • Provide equipment selection, design, manufacture, improvement and operation procedures for Overhaul Division
  • Specify, evaluate and design new tooling and equipment required by Maintenance / Overhaul Division
  • Provide general technical support to the Maintenance / Overhaul Division
  • Review the latest HK / European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) / Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR) airworthiness regulations and to advise Production departments on matters contained in such information which may have an impact on current or future work
What You'll Need

1. Technical and other Relevant Experience

  • A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in aircraft / component engineering
  • Practical engineering and repair experience in aircraft component
  • Extensive experience and solid knowledge in avionic component repair; master the skills to perform avionics troubleshooting and component soldering
  • Rich experience in tooling and equipment design, manufacture and maintenance
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

2. Qualifications and other Relevant Knowledge

  • A recognized degree in Aeronautical, Engineering or related disciplines
  • Strong knowledge and competency in aircraft component engineering
  • Good command of English, both spoken and written

The Job
You will:

  • Managing the Cyber Defense Engineering Team in the aspects of Security Monitoring Use Case & Playbook and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Rules (including Development, Testing and Fine Tuning) through hiring, training, coaching, objective setting and performance management of team members
  • Managing the external service providers and product vendors, ensuring the appropriate service level performance is established, monitored and met
  • Provide oversight on backlog prioritisation, working with the Security Operations Centre (SOC) Team to ensure the appropriate prioritisation of the issues and enhancements, incl. log source onboarding
  • Ensure the correlation rules and response playbooks are tested and optimised to meet the performance and accuracy criteria
  • Develop capabilities to monitor security logging coverage and availability, and response measures to alert the log source owners to remediate the log issues
  • Lead the team to perform regular reviews and attack simulations, to identify potential detection gaps and remediate them
  • Develop and maintain a mapping of the security monitoring use cases against the MITRE ATT&CK Framework, and the corresponding playbooks
About You
You should have:
  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, and/or related discipline
  • 12 years or more of working experience in the related field, with at least 5 years in an engineering role
  • Strong experience covering technologies for Cyber Threat Intelligence, Security Monitoring & Cyber Security Incident Response
  • High degree of logical and analytical thinking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaborative and communication skills
  • Well-disciplined with exemplary professional competence and integrity
  • Experience with the following services and technologies – SIEM, SOAR, Threat Intel Platform, Breach Attack Simulation, API, Python
  • Industry-recognised certification in one or more of the following – CISSP, CISM, GCIA, GCIH, GSOC, etc.

Our regional Support Managers run world-class Support teams – solving deep technical problems for customers around the world on Ubuntu Server, Ubuntu Desktop and on the public cloud. They demonstrate two key attributes: customer focus – ensuring that customers are always satisfied with the service they are receiving, and technical excellence – ensuring that the support team is always up to date with the our technology, and that they perform sound and quick troubleshooting. We are looking for managers for both of our support groups; Cloud Support Group and Devices Support Group.

You'll need to be comfortable in a fast paced environment, able to take responsibility for delivering to customers and enjoy challenges. You will also need to care deeply about your team, their skills, and their career development.

The role entails

  • Management of a professional support team, including skills development and performance management
  • Operational control, shift scheduling, accountability for key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Ensures that all customer cases are responded to within the SLA, and in a professional manner
  • Act as the customer escalation contact, and ensure that such escalations are addressed appropriately
  • Accountability for customer satisfaction
  • Contribution to the support knowledge base
  • Continuous improvement to the team's processes and support service delivery
  • Hire, develop and train support team to match business requirements
  • Work with the leadership team to drive growth and transformation initiatives

What are we looking for in you

  • Extensive CLI experience with Linux at a technical level (Support, Development, Implementation)
  • Leadership experience, and preferably team management experience
  • Confidence under pressure, with proven track record of high customer focus
  • Preferably fluent in two languages, English being primary one
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Experience or knowledge of Linux Desktop, OpenStack, Public Cloud or Virtualization technologies
  • Proven track record of contributing to Open Source projects
  • Software development experience
  • Experience in working in support organizations
  • Hands on experience with Canonical's products

  • Assisting the manager with project deliverables development, assessment, and auditing for new projects related to Amusement Rides and Entertainment venues.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Quality, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Mechatronic or related).
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Quality Management Systems, Auditing, or project management.
  • Preferable experience in mechanical design, welding, and measurement instruments.
  • Experience in theatre or stage engineering is beneficial.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • Ability to make independent decisions, with fluent spoken and written English, and confident communication with multinational partners.
