The Role:

As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will be instrumental in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base within the vibrant Hong Kong research community. You will leverage your scientific knowledge and sales acumen to understand the unique needs of researchers and position LAB-A-PORTER's solutions effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities with academic institutions, biotechnology companies, pharmaceutical organizations, and research laboratories across Hong Kong.
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with new and existing clients, understanding their research needs and providing tailored solutions from our extensive product portfolio.
  • Deliver compelling technical presentations and product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of our offerings.
  • Provide exceptional pre-sales and post-sales technical support and consultation to clients, addressing inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve and exceed agreed-upon sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Stay abreast of market trends, competitor activities, and new scientific advancements relevant to our product lines (e.g., disease modelling, drug discovery, cell and gene therapy, tissue engineering).
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, including marketing and logistics, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecast, and contribute to sales strategy development.
  • Represent LAB-A-PORTER at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a Life Sciences discipline (e.g., Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Pharmacology, or related field).
  • Strong understanding of research laboratory techniques and workflows, particularly in areas such as cell culture, molecular biology, immunology, or related fields.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex scientific concepts clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to build rapport, negotiate effectively, and close sales.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, with a proactive approach to business development.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in English and Cantonese is essential; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
  • Applicants must be a permanent Hong Kong resident or possess a valid visa to work in Hong Kong.

  • We are looking for SALES & ENGINEERING MANAGER - with details as follows :

The Job

  • Report to MD
  • Perform both sales and project management role
  • Formulate and implement sales strategies and action plans to drive business
  • Develop new business and follow up different projects independently.
  • Provide technical support and to generate sales within the set budgets.
  • Serve as a key customer contact and service point for key customer accounts.
  • Understand competitor’s activities, attend trade shows, conference and keeping abreast of effective market intelligence.
  • Prepare cost estimation, quotation, proposals and tender documents.
  • Manage projects from design, sourcing and procurement, planning, monitoring from installation to completion and hand over, aftersales support and interfaces works in Hong Kong and China.
  • Handle technical support and to enhance current products and services, in terms of variety, performance and total cost management.
  • Prepare sales pitching proposals and tender for new projects, establish sales strategies and execute plans to expand networks and product awareness in Hong Kong.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, negotiate terms & conditions including prices for key customers.
  • Prepare key account handling protocol.
  • Manage the project to complete according to contract, time, cost, quality and safety, requirements.
  • Handle all technical and project management issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers.
  • Manage and motivate Engineering team in project execution and technical support.
  • Degree holder preferably in Mechanical/Electrical/Building Services Engineering.etc or equivalent
  • 5+ years sales/business development/project management/Building Services experience in Hong Kong and China.
  • Exposure to HVAC/environmental/green engineering/projects is highly prefer
  • Successful track record in new business development and key account management.
  • Proven track record of customer relationship management preferably for high end customers

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for formulating and implementing sales and marketing strategies to promote trade finance products to customers
  • Maintain key customer list and monitor sales performance
  • Prepare management reports on key account preference and market analysis
  • Preparing product promotional and training materials for both internal and external parties

Job Requirements

  • University graduate with major in business management, finance, economics or related disciplines
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant banking experiences; Experience of trade finance product development is preferred
  • Good knowledge on CDCS/CITF/CSDG will be an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, inclusive of Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated with Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong command of both written and spoken Chinese, including Putonghua

About the Role : We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager for Payment. This role will focus on driving the growth of Payment by identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and enhancing market presence. The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of the cryptocurrency landscape, excellent networking skills, and a passion for digital payment solutions.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to drive the growth of Payment.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and integration prospects to expand Payment's market reach.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, compliance, and product development, to align strategies and ensure successful execution of business initiatives.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field; has payment/e-wallets working experience is preferred.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or partnership management, preferably within the fintech or cryptocurrency sectors.
  • Strong understanding of cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and digital payment solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet business objectives.
