Job Description:

We are looking for an AI Engineer with hands-on experience in building intelligent systems using modern AI frameworks. Duties:

We are looking for a motivated and energetic candidate to join our Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (TIE) Cluster as Vice President. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in implementing our business development plan for the teams under the TIE Cluster. He or she is expected to work with other industry sector teams and geographical teams to attract Mainland and overseas business to invest in Hong Kong through diversified marketing events and visit programmes, desktop research, marketing material preparation, building a stakeholders' database, and effective handling of administrative tasks.

(a) To actively identify potential investors from Mainland and overseas from desktop research, database software, media reports and attending networking events, exhibitions and trade fairs, and to follow up and establish contact with these leads and handle enquiries from clients and liaise with relevant stakeholders in the public and private sectors;

(b) To organise and support investment promotion activities (such as round-tables, seminars, sponsored events, delegations) including administrative and logistic arrangement, onsite support, social media and website updates and other follow-up work;

(c) To conduct research on markets, regulation and company profiles and gather up-to-date information;

(d) To prepare marketing and presentation materials, pitch decks and update social media accounts, post news and articles on a regular basis;

(e) To assist in daily administrative duties, such as updating database, compilation of returns, financial budget monitoring and usage, expense applications and reimbursement, drafting correspondence, translation work, agendas and documentations for meetings and arranging travel plans and itineraries; and

(f) To perform any other duties as assigned by senior officers.

Terms of Appointment:

Successful applicant will be appointed on non-civil service contract terms for three months and the term will be extended up to an accumulative period of not more than 24 months subject to satisfactory performance and at the discretion of Invest Hong Kong. Under normal circumstances, there will usually be further renewal of contract, subject to the performance and conduct of the applicant, and the service need of the department.

Fringe Benefits

(a) An end-of-contract gratuity may be granted upon satisfactory completion of the contract. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Schemes Ordinance, will equal 15% of the total basic salary drawn during the contract period; and

(b) Applicant appointed will be granted 14 days of annual leave and the entitlement of annual leave will be calculated on pro-rata basis for appointment less than 12 months. Other benefits, such as rest days, statutory holidays (or substituted holidays), maternity/ paternity leave, sickness allowance, where appropriate, will be granted mainly in line with the provisions of the Hong Kong Employment Ordinance.

Description

  • Support the Team Head in developing strategies to modernize Branch and Contact Centre channels using data insights, customer feedback, and innovative technologies
  • Lead digitization projects to improve productivity and create a seamless omni-channel experience across digital, physical, and contact centre touchpoints
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to optimize infrastructure and reduce implementation costs
  • Act as the owner of channel initiatives, managing stakeholder relationships and making business decisions to deliver measurable outcomes
  • Develop operational procedures for new initiatives in coordination with Branch and Contact Centre teams
  • Gather and respond to frontline and customer feedback to drive continuous improvement
  • Ensure effective execution and benefit realization of transformation projects

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Marketing related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in project and resource management within retail banking or channel operations
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability in project execution, data analysis, and strategic thinking
  • Experience in marketing and commercialization is a plus
  • Proficient in both English and Chinese

Key Responsibilities
Product Innovation, Strategy and Technology

  • Conduct ongoing market research, competitive analysis and customer research to identify customer needs, emerging trends and new opportunities
  • Support product innovation and product strategy bringing in a cross functional, customer-centric view, for various markets and an enterprise-wide view.
  • Enable product roadmaps, prioritising between various objectives including strategic (e.g. increasing H&P mix, broadening customer reach) and tactical (near term delivery)
  • Identify key emerging trends in Insurtech/ healthtech/ digital wealth platforms to propose strategic partnerships e.g. value-added services and enhance Prudential's product propositions.
  • Identify and propose innovation, including through the use of technology, in the Product function at LBUs.
  • Assess current state on the product development life cycle and identify opportunities for a significant improvement to speed to market, reduction in the level of manual processes and improving control outcomes
  • Work closely with the GCPO with the functional book of work, prioritisation of initiatives and to support delivery across the functional programme.

Team Leadership

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, Business or related fields.
  • 15+ years of experience in life insurance including products, with a strong leadership track record across various product lines.
  • Proven leadership experience in regional or multi-market roles.
  • Strong leadership, strategic thinking and communication skills. Deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, technology solutions and product development in the insurance sector and a passion for bringing innovative solutions to meet customer needs.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Proactively stay up-to-date with the USA & Europe market and industry trends by conducting research and analysis.
  • Design and develop jewellery products with high standards of quality and craftsmanship according to product planning and creative direction.
  • Work closely with design and production teams regarding customers' designs and orders;
  • Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams to bridge design specifications and production feasibility.
  • Actively assist in prototyping process ensure high quality and completeness.
  • Overseas trips for meetings & to attend international jewellery exhibitions is required.
  • Occasional travel to China may be required.

Requirements:

  • Diploma holder in Design or related discipline
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience
  • Self-motivated, detail-minded with good communication & presentation skills
  • Fluency in both written and spoken Cantonese, English and Mandarin
  • Overseas study or experience in living overseas is an advantage.
