• To serve as a critical coordinator with IT Department in the organization, risk functional teams in the Risk Management Department, and stakeholders in other departments
• To manage projects of data platform and risk reporting application development, including feasibility study, solution analysis, requirement definition, functional design, application and database architecture design, development plan, and documentation
• To establish and improve policies and procedures on software development, change request, daily business and static mapping data maintenance, data quality control, system error handling, data / system risk management, and business continuity plan
• To keep abreast of the latest technology development that can be implemented for daily risk management use
• To implement MSCI Risk Manager system by working with different system vendors, consultants, internal IT department, and front and middle office teams, and various risk teams (model, market, credit etc.)
• To design, develop and maintain a proprietary risk data warehouse on top of MSCI RiskManager that can meet regulatory requirements and internal risk control standards
• To build a comprehensive risk reporting engine on top of the core risk engine
• To participate in other enterprise technology projects where Risk Department is a stakeholder
Requirements

• Degree holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or related disciplines from a reputable university
• 8 years (3 out of which is in team lead role) of project management and system analysis experience in data related domains, preferably in financial data analytics, database design, implementation, maintenance, big data platforms and AI
• Proficiency in database design (e.g. architecture of normalized relational tables), data technologies (e.g. data streaming, data lake, ETL), concepts (e.g. data model, metadata) and tools (e.g. SQL, analytic and visualization tools)
• Hands-on experience in risk technology on counterparty credit risk / market risk in financial industry, and knowledge on fixed income / equities products, particularly derivatives and structured products are preferred
• Proficient in English and Chinese
• Communication skill with non IT / technical audience

This role will require close collaboration with the trading desks on platform design & optimization of trading strategies. Prior experience in Market Making / Quantitative Trading / Algorithmic Trading is necessary along with knowledge of market microstructure and regulatory regimes across APAC markets.
**Responsibilities** :
+ Design, development and support of high-performance electronic trading systems.
+ Partner with business users, quant researchers and clients on product development
+ Manage and support a global team of developers & QA specialists.
+ Continuous improvements of SDLC processes including Agile delivery, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines & support processes.
+ Envision, design and implement test cases for trading functions.
**Qualifications** :
+ Minimum 12 years of relevant experience with strong technical knowledge either Java or C++.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Engineer Lead with a focus on Trading Technology to join our business. You will be part of a small but growing team working directly on complex automation and technology problems, collaborating with cross-functional teams including Operations, Business Change Managers, and Software Engineers to impact our business's future success.
Job Description- Lead the team in collaborating closely with Business Change Managers and trading desks to understand workflows, gather requirements, and identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate and prioritize digitalization and automation projects based on commercial value and technical feasibility to drive strategic business improvements.
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance automation applications and workflows to streamline processes.
- Build strong relationships with other team leaders to leverage existing infrastructure for efficient systems.
- Utilize cutting-edge technologies such as Intelligent Document Parsing (IDP) to improve efficiency and productivity.
- Own the delivery and maintenance of high-quality tools, providing prompt support to resolve issues.
- Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience in software development teams.
- Strong programming skills in an OOP language (Python, C#, Java, C++ preferred).
- Experience with database management, including SQL and NoSQL systems.
- Experience with RPA tools such as UiPath for automation solutions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent problem-solving and attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder communication skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms and CI/CD practices is beneficial.
- Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular or React is beneficial.
- Prior experience in commodities trading is a plus but not required.
